  1. Suppose you’ve to drive from Delhi to Agra, and you don’t know the way. You look for a roadmap, or ask someone who’s driven that way before
Suppose you want to prepare a dish for the first time. You reach the net or a book for a recipe, or ask someone who’s done that before
The solutions one seeks for problems in the external world are taught in the language of the external world, by someone who’s been there & done that before. It’s upto the seeker to learn that language
Seekers in the spiritual world journey inward, in search of that ultimate experience.. a feeling which can’t be described in words. Silence is the language of the inner world
    Pranams Sathgurudeva!
Thanks a ton, for taking us on the highway to liberation (MMS108). We know that road leads inwards & the operative language there is silence. We’re happy learning that language from you, as we feel your presence inside our hearts, leading us to our fulfilment.

We act the hole day and we are in communication with the energies around us, in so many ways and levels. To hold the energy and keep silent, is so difficult for me but APPAJI I try my very best.

Being silent truly can be a cleansing experience as it allows us to enjoy the quiet and focus on the true path to this life, to focus on the teachings from Appaji. By keeping mum and observing alot can be noticed and we learn alot just by observation and of course with the guidance from our dear and beloved Sadguru.
Instead of using strong words, try to sit back and listen to the beautiful bhajans and this in itself can create such wonderful feelings that we often forget the ills…
    Jaya Guru Datta!!!!

Jaya Guru Datta Appaji – ‘silence is golden’ – it is not just to avoid a lot of worldly troubles. The more we are silent and silence the inner self – the closer we inch towards You – our God. This has been a reinforcing message from Appaji to all of us. Oh, Silent Teacher, prayers at Your Holy Lotus Feet to please bless the universe with inner silence leading to eternal peace…Jayaho Appaji

It is true that Sadgurudeva says, it is very important to restrict speech while on the spiritual journey. There is no place here for gossip, idle talk, angry outbursts, detailed commentaries on unimportant topics, or self praise. Even the mind should keep silent, not just the tongue. It should stay calm and peaceful. These I try to practice. What is more difficult for me is to follow the extended periods of silent communication with Sadguru, when I fail to grasp the meaning of what is being conveyed. He says, “I am with you always. I speak with you heart to heart”. Sometimes those words of silence escape my attention and comprehension. It leaves me frustrated. All I can do is to pray and wait patiently for gaining a better understanding of the eloquent language of silence of my most beloved Sadgurudeva Sri Swamiji. Jaya Guru Datta

Our mind talks all the day to us. Yet we have to keep silent inwards and outwards to listen to the Divine. Sri Swamiji is with us and caring for us. He gives us advices in so many ways. Often He is a silent teacher. So we need to be silent disciples.
Thank you for this wonderful MMS.

“Empty vessels make lot of noise”. When we are silent, we are at peace with ourselves, we are able to grasp and understand things better. Such profound silence where we can hear You clearly, is a true Blessing…we hope to one day reach You and understand Your silent language, until then we will practice Your teachings.

  5. WOW! What an MMS! Wow. I can see from above comments that many are absolutely speechless! I ean, HOW do you comprehent such a message , connoting SILENCE amidst the surreal strokes of the master violinsts hand? How can onae play such and ask such things at different sides , or seemingly different sides of the spectrum? OMG! Was this the concert wherein The master vioinist broke one of the strings in his masterpiece perforances?
silence? yes! For this great master of the violin, more than likely , proceeded on his great path with our great mater swamiji, in Silence…and in that silence…A master and masterpiece were born…
I was just remarking today to another devotee, that we need to use descrimination of our experiences, no , our great and surreal experiences with our Sadguru, .. with other people….We have to be silent ….
silence is God..or inthe God realm… The ego is not allowed its voice….
and in remaining silent… We attain a strength and also a knowing….
That is why I LOVE this MMS forum… It prompts us out of our silnce into a dialogue, but a dialogue, only with our fellow devotees!!
    A dialogue which is needed!!!
for then we see, that we are not alone on this journey, a sometimes rather lonely journey, even though we have the same sadguru!
I wholehearted thanks Swamiji, our Swamiji , for providing such a forum..(FOR OM) tobe able to converse, dialogue, and yes, to PLAY…
i have noticed that there are certain number of those around the world chiming in…May that number increase day by day , year by year…We are family! Jai Guru Datta!
    wherein we feel safe…
for , as true devotees of Swamiji, We do have such rich experiences which cannot be shared withthe outside world!
    Love and JGD!

Today Appaji has given a very good lesson to us through the MMS 331. Puttuji you have given a nice explanation also to this MSG. Yes it is a fact that in the external world if we want to learn or to acquire the knowledge, there are so many ways. But to know the inner self , one has to follow through the spiritual path . In this Kaliyuga , this is more important since we are living in a busy world wherein we are attracted by unwanted desires and other things. In a latter date this will mislead our life and we will end our life with desperate. Therefore to overcome this only we should develop our innerself through the spiritual path. Here we need a master also through Him only, we can develop our spiritual knowledge. Hence we are so fortunate to get our Sadguru Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji in this Kaliyuga since He is incarnation of Lord Datta Himself. Now asper our Appaji’s policy , first He will ask you to learn to maintain perfect scilence . This is the first step In the spiritual path. Once we practice this , it is easy to get concentration and to keep our mind study, which will help us to have more willpower and also to get a balanced mind. If we succeed in this then it is very easy to reach the selfrealization , which is only eternal . Once we learn this concept, we will be able to face any problem in our life and things will be more easier. Of course the Sadguru will always watch on you whether we go in the right path. That is why we need His help always till our life in this world. Here we cannot change Him on any account and with out a Guru our life will not success also. The music is very apt for this MSg since Appaji has played on keyboard from inner Healing CD and that to with LS and played the raga in Kapi with the Bhajan Jaya– Jaya– Vani. This raga and Bhajan will help us to develop our inner self. The photography is also very nice since in Mother’s creation in nature when we listen to this wonderful raga it will add to improve our inner self. JGD .

mind at lotus feet of sadguru , we pray at lotus feet of poojya swamiji to guide us inright direction, om namo hanumathenamhaa

    • Maurice Clarke on April 27, 2013 at 11:22 am

JGD. Perhaps in one extreme, tat and tvam are separate so language is needed. Perhaps at the other extreme Guru whispers Tat-tvam-asi and there is no separation. Who then communicates with whom. Language then is not needed and silence is perfect. In the middle of the extremes is the spiritual journey from two-ness to not-two-ness, Advaita. So perhaps in this point of view, the spiritual journey naturally becomes more silent. JGD.

Silent seeker meets silent teacher . . .
This MMs is so wonderful in view and sound, one of my favourite music pieces.
We need dialogue and stillness. When we have both, once in a while, we are content.
Sometimes we like to retreat and experience , sometimes we like to come forward
and reveal our experiences to others, if mood is equivalent, not each day, I think.
So the MMS give us both chances always. Thank you a lot for that, dear Swamiji.

Jai guru Datta.silence is meditation.observing silence is an act of penance highly effective in emptying the mind.silence pacifiers mans nature and helps a person to evolve in spiritual path.silence is creators medium and all divine things are communicated and transmitted through silence.sadguru mode of teaching is silence.greater sadhana is required to imbibe the impressions of silence possible only through the grace of sadguru.we pray swamiji to bless us to attain the attributes of silence to progress in our spiritual journey as the silence is eternal prevailing prior to creation and after laya of creation in beyond beyond god state I.e., para brahma paramatma state.jai guru datta.

Silence speaks more loud than any language on phase of earth. God can understand though we express it or not because HE is within us. May lord bless us all to be silent seeker in spiritual path.
