  1. {Hamsagatyai : One who has the gait.. move, walk.. of a swan}.
    Swans move over the water with grace. No splashes or jerks. Just simple balance. Seeing swans in motion can be a very soothing experience.
    So too, we see people who are calm, composed, balanced.. are much more effective than their aggressive, out of control, angry counterparts.
    A swan’s gait hides its feet, which paddle briskly under water. That balanced paddling is the secret that drives the gracious movement above the water.
    So too, calm, controlled, balanced behaviours are driven by steady, focussed & balanced thought processes. The processor – is our brain, which survives on Oxygen. The only way one can get enough oxygen into our brain is by gentle, rhythmic breathing.. Pranayama.

    We”ll practice Pranayama everyday, to keep our body & mind, absolutely fit & fine. For, these are the only vehicles we have for our spiritual progress

  4. jgd pranaams Datta Guru, thanks for all grace and help, but i feel very bad when i see my lazy nature, may i ask for the compassion of Sadguru only, because the basic nature is a big hurdle in improvement and its not in my hands also, please forgive me, i want to make the best use of praanaa (Hamsas), may i practice and benefit onhn sgd

    Jaya Guru Datta! The music from Nada Chintana is soo powerful! As powerful as pranayama is. Lately, unfortunately, I didn’t make it to practice pranayama daily, only on a few days per week. I believe I noticed that positive effects haven’t come as they have been before when practicing daily. Appaji, please give me the strength to return to daily practice, also of TriYoga. Sri Guru Datta!

    A nice teaching, Appaji has given today through this MMS 351. Puttuji , you have also given a good explanation for this MSG. Hama Gatyai Namaha—- how gently a swan is moving through water without any splashes or jerke. Moreover it goes swiftly through the water in a balanced way. Similarly Appaji wants us also to be calm, controlled and balanced mind and behaviour in our life. If we acquire such good qualities, it helps not only for our health and at the sametime , it is more easier to develop ourspiritual path and that is only eternal in this Kaliyuga . Therefore basing on this, in Appaji’s teachings one of the ways to acquire these good qualities is practice pranayama also. In yoga this is one of the methods to get concentration and to have a calm and balanced mind. This will help us to be perfect and to have a good health. The photography and the old Bhajan from the CD Nada chintana are apt for this MSG. Thank You Appaji and we follow Your teachings and practice pranayama and keep fit with balanced mind through which we develop our spiritual knowledge also. JGD.

    If breathing was left to humans, humanity will be extinct in 1 min.. our minds are so distracted by our inner enemies, ego etc we would forget to breath in one second!
    Hence breathe itself is a divine gift and pathway to the inner self. We waste it away by getting agitated and giving in to the inner enemies. Listening to Your bhajans, meditating on Your music, breathe is regulated and pranayama happens automatically. Praying we all practice it is a direct path to You.
