“Prayer enhances concentration. Concentration through absorption leads to God-Realization. “

Sadgurudeva, we all know that you have realized God and that you remain absorbed in the Supreme Consciousness, even while you are interacting with the world. In this Nandana MMS video you are showing us how we all should proceed to attain your state of divinity.

Chanting mantras with concentration on the divine qualities of God will certainly divert our minds from our mundane worldly concerns to the realm of divinity. When we visualize in our hearts the all-knowing, all-powerful, all-pervasive God in a most pleasing form, we truly do get absorbed in that vision and do not feel like returning to our petty problems of daily life. These short journeys we make daily, through our prayers, into a higher plane of consciousness will, in course of time help us to reach our final destination. The beautiful picture of Mother Goddess and the chant in your divine voice of some of Her thousand names transport us at once into a different state of mind. Thank you for giving us this simple instruction and guidance. This is easy to incorporate into our everyday routine and with your compassionate lead we will progress quickly on our spiritual path.

    Thank you.
    – Your Puttuji

Jaya Guru Hanuman, Thank you Puttugamji for the beautiful description of mother goddess….You have provided beautiful understanding in the earlier MMS about what prayer is which I think is critical to understand to move to higher steps – ” To pray is to be in ‘communion’ (spiritual union) with the Lord we are praying to. A little child is always joyful in the warmth of its mother. Likewise, we are always joyful when we pray, because in our heart, we are together with our beloved Lord. To the unintelligent, prayer are acts of ‘communication’ and not ‘communion’ with their Lord. Communication is a transaction that involves exchange of information between two different individuals. This belief that you are ‘separate’ from the ‘other’ you are praying to reduces prayer into a transaction. So, if the ‘other’ does not live up to your expectations, the transaction stops, and the relationship fails. This is why some people who go after Ganesha today, will go after another God tomorrow. Should our relationship with God or Guru be so transactional? Is there room for joy in such prayer? Nothing comes out of such a ritual. Being joyful in prayer means seeing the Lord inside of us when we pray. We are in communion…… not in communication mode.”

Please bless us with Shraddha so that we are firmly rooted in this understanding and be in constant communion with lord and receive Guru krupa to realize God.

Humble prostrations to the lotus feet of Sri Swamiji who is Lalitha

Jaya Guru Datta, Appaji! On July 14, you taught us that chanting the names of God is both prayer and meditation. And then You guided us to learn to commune with God with joyful hearts in our prayer time. So often you have reminded us that nama sankirtana is the way of practice for the Kali Yuga. This morning, we are blessed to hear You chanting the names of the Divine as a direct demonstration of Your lesson. May we all remember wherever we are during the day to chant the sacred mantras you have given us so that we may always be concentrating on that which is eternal and divine! Om Aim Hreem Srim Sanatanayai Namaha! What a joy it is to receive these teachings each morning and to be able to communicate with You and to have this satsang with the other devotees! Jaya Guru Datta! Jaya Mata!

Jai Guru Datta! What else is there to wish for this lifetime? In His tender way by all means our Sadgurudeva leads us to this fullfilment. Using all the possibilities to help us to concentrate on Him. I like to do prayers and feel the return to the inner self through this practise. I pray Appaji to give me the strength and determination to go much deeper inside and to concentrate on Him only!
As it is said in the Guru-Gita: “Oh Guru! You are my father, my mother, my relative.;You are my only God. Obeisance to you who drives away my desire of samsara;”

For me prayer was always to speak with God. But Swamiji shows us an other Version: sure, it is speaking with God, about God, to God… But it also guides to God, because it enhances concentration. So prayer is a very good and wonderfull way to make steps to God. And everyone can do it, it is not difficult. God gives us an instrument very easy to reach Him, it is wonderfull and shows the big love from God to us!

  2. The visuals of this message are so extraordinary. The stunning sun gradually rising, lifts our spirits. The celestial music lifts our soul. The smile of the Guru encourages us. The words focus us for the day on prayer and concentration, reminding us of the transformation that comes in prayer. Thank you thank you dear Swamiji for keeping focused on what is essential. Chanting of Lalita Sahsranamam is very vibrant & feels very divine.
Prayers that we, the children of Sri Swamiji, may also be able to chant just like our Sadguru.
    Pranams to Him.
Facebook, Nandana SGS MMS, Hanuman Mantra, Raga Sagara, etc. have brought us close to Divinity. It has helped us develope good habits & a proper time table, so that we may read about our Sadguru, His activities, His teachings. By commenting on posts, we get an opportunity to reflect on them.
The starting of the video, where the sun rises, in the back drop of the red orangish colour of the light reflected by the sky & the water, is immensely very beautiful and teaches us many things.
Firstly, We should remember to whisper a prayer in the morning, to whisper a prayer at noon, to whisper a prayer in the evening, to keep our heart in tune.
Secondly, concentration developed through prayer, enhances every aspect of Our lives. Here, the dark blue sea & the light blue sky are all coloured with the power of concentration as reddish – orange.

This video has something special in it, where concentration during watching it, comes on its own & does not need to be enforced.

Sri Swamiji is Mother, Mother is Vishwa Roopa, but, when we meditate on Her, (maybe through the Sri Chakra Puja’s performed by Our dearest Appaji,) we concentrate on the bindhu.

May we learn to pray appropriately, with a lot of faith & devotion. Green sari worn by Sri Swamiji & Devi Mata, reminds Of Sri Jayalakshmi Mata.
    Jayalakshmi Mata ji Ki Jai.

    Seeking Blessings.
    JGD.
    Om Namo Hanumate Namah.

    Everyday is a new lesson.
Everyday, we move a step closer to spirituality.
No one would give us a personal lesson….but Appaji.
We are so blessed for the guidance..
Video and the prayer in the background leads one to prayer and the importance of chantings.

Countless help we get through praying and concentrating on the Guru – what a mirical: by praying we will be united with GOD.

    Mein Herr und mein Gott
nimm alles von mir was mich hindert zu Dir
    mein Herr und mein Gott
gib alles mir was mich führet zu Dir
    mein Herr und mein Gott
nimm mich mir und gib mich ganz zu eigen Dir.

    (Gebet des hl. Bruder Niklaus)

O Lord, take Thou from me
All that makes me turn from Thee.

O Lord, give Thou to me
All that draws me nearer Thee.

O Lord, take myself from me.
Give me all and whole to Thee.

(Prayer Brother Klaus, Saint Nicholas of Flüe, Switzerland)

Sri Swamiji’s sacred voice chanting Laltiha Sahasranama installs peace and bliss. Thank you Sadguru for the teaching that we must have joy and be in communion when we pray. This devotee has already seen a difference in her experience of prayer. My concentration is better and peace and bliss is enhanced. This will one day lead to god realization. Thank you for these messages and the opportunity to see you live at Sri Balaswamiji’s Ramayana discourse. I always feel recharged at the sight of my holy Sadguru! Om namo Hanumate namaha. The clarity and precision of Sri Swamiji singing these most powerful mantras always creates a sense of wonder in my soul. It was January 2004 with Sri Swamiji sitting in front of Marakata Rajarajeshwari Devi at Vijayawada that we witnessed the grand ceremonial (at the time cassette) release of this most powerful prayer to Mother Goddess. Watching this video with the sun rising reminds me of how it was my most Loving Mother’s beautiful face that I saw each morning upon awakening. There is nothing like Mother’s Love and care. Thank you Appaji for this most valuable recording. Jai Sri Mata

  6. Jaya Guru Datta Appaji for this lovely MMS. What an apt day to listen to Lalitha Sahasranamam shloka being recited by you as we had a chanting session of Lalitha sahasranamam at a friends place as it was Ashadh Friday. We are really blessed to learn Lalitha and recite by your Sankalpa. Reciting this namarchana gives us concentration and really helps us to tide over our Rajasik and Tamasik Gunas and concentrate on the Lord.

Concentration is one of the essential factors to achieve success in any of the worldly matters. But to experience the concept of supernatural power beyond human capabilities one need to enhance their concentration through prayer. God has gifted us all with wonderful human form, to practise and experience the positive energy or God within us. Self realisation is possible by following the instructions of Sadguru and Sri Swamiji through this video conveys a simple path, that prayer improves our concentration, to pave the way for realising the Almighty.

Bueatiful video with detailed explaination… this SGS MMS reminds me of Appaji’s speech, where HH said, first a shadaka should do Shravanam then Mananam and then followed by Mathanam…. which means chat loudly then slowly chant inside yourself, then followed by understanding the meaning of it…..God-Realization.

The video, and Puttuji’s explanation are inspiring, and especially encouraging. The sentence “”’let not those words daunt you….” in Puttuji’s explanation are strengthening the thought that nothing needs to be difficult for a child of Pujya Appaji. Nandana is a very powerful tool and means that Pujya Appaji has chosen to inspire us to treat the path of spirituality and reach self-realization….which is what Appaji truly is (beyond His physical form). I feel we have to constantly keep going back to the old messages also, and keep imbibing the essence of these messages from repeated viewing and reinforcing the principles from these messages. Only through auto-suggestion from repeated viewing can we nudge our minds to the path that Appaji is wanting us to take. Sri Guru Datta.
