Jaya Guru Datta Sri Appaji _/\_!!

  1. Jaya Guru Datta Swamiji !!_/\_!!

  2. Happy Guru Day prostrations at the lotus feet of Dattaswaroopa Sadgurudeva _/\_!!
Let us recall the following Nandana MMSes:
    – Since all problems are created by the mind, the solutions to them also come from the mind # 278.
    – A perfect mind unlocks the mysteries of life # 109.
    – Desire deludes the mind and despondency dries it up -# 87.
    – The purer the mind, the easier the solution #74.

Upon recalling, let us infer the following:
    1. The mind ought to be kept pure by focusing on what is real (Atman/Gurudeva).
    2. The mind is inherently very mischievous and that we need to make overt efforts to restrain it.
    3. Our outside is a reflection of the inside and as a result our inside needs to be kept clean.
    4. We are what we think and eat. As a result both bhajans/Namasankeertana and right bhojana are indispensable for a pure mind.
    5. A pure mind is a natural ‘Guru Nilayam’.
    6. Success and Happiness lie within. Searching outside is futile.
    7. Ego leads to desires and desires delude the mind with a deluge of negative thoughts such as greed, jealously, over ambition, and the like. Therefore identifying with the truth that resides inside is pivotal to disambiguate the false duality. That truth is Sadgurudeva. We need to associate with Sadgurudeva and disassociate with anything else.
    8. Desires are never quenched or fulfilled. How can anything that is unreal be ever attained?
    9. Desires beyond necessity cause disturbances in the mind. Those disturbances manifest as problems outside.
I pray to You Appaji to always let me remember and practice the above principles.

Sivaya Gurave Namah !! Sri Guru Datta !! Om Namo Hanumathe Namah!!
