  1. {Generosity : The habit of giving without expecting anything in return}
    Salutations Ma Raja Rajeshwari!
You’re the greatest of Goddesses. You preside over the Sri Chakra. You’re our energy & our knowledge. You bestow liberation from the cycle of birth and death. So, generous you are!
We’re ashamed of what we’re doing to you, being empowered by your own energy. How can we erase the mountains of their greenery? How can we exploit your natural bounty for our self-interest? Yet, we do
And you.. in all your generosity, continue to empower our thought, word & deed, without expecting anything in return.. because you’re Mother!
Ma! We’re forever grateful to you for blessing us with our Sathgurudeva, who is our Ma Maha Saraswathi. His Holiness enlightens us to reflect upon our higher nature. His Holiness himself is an embodiment of generosity, inspiring us to walk his path. We follow him, to our fulfilment.
    Thanks a million Mother!
    Jaya Guru Datta! Your Puttuji

Nature with its abundance of everything, and the nature of its giving to all is a supreme example of generosity with no self-interest. Tyaga (sacrifice) manohara is Datta. May we develop such Tyaga Buddhi with the grace of Sri Sadguru Deva, to get closer to His Lotus Feet. Sri Guru Datta.

A good lesson, Appaji has given today to us through this MMS. The habit of giving with out expecting any thing in return. Puttuji , you have also given a nice explanation for this MMS , how Mother goddess Raja Rajeshwari cares for the Nature. Here I recollect , Appaji’s MMS 164, 190 and 195. When you look in to these MMS, it is a fact that the Mother Goddess takes care for the nature to keep greenery in the mountain as shown in the photography. Further in the nature the Trees and Plants are giving and giving always to us with out expecting anything in return from us. That is the generosity of these, which is what we have to learn from today’s MMS. In this Kaliyuga we are more interested in worldly pleasures and unwanted desires for our own benefit. But remember that, it is not going to be permanent . Therefore we should also learn from nature to do for the needy and help others with out expecting anything in return from them. But in this Kaliyuga to divert our mind like that, we have to follow a spiritual path through our Sadguru. By doing so only we can follow asper this MSG. Therefore , Appaji we got your concept and follow you and do our seva to develop your mission and we have got the confidence that , You know what is to be given to us and not to be. The music on keyboard Achutha Annanda in Keervani raga is also giving a soothing effect. JGD.

Appaji, kindly bless us in our in endevour to help others generously. Crores & Crores of pranam at Appaji’s lotus feet.

Jaya Guru Datta! Thank You, Swamiji, for defining generosity in such simple words. Your life is Your message and we only need to look at Your life history to fathom how selfless and generous You are.

I remember the incident where someone cured by little Satyanarayana left five rupees for him that Satyanarayana didn’t touch. Subsequently, Satya gave away the money to a homeless lady who came beginning for money to buy medicines for her ailing child. Satyanarayana’s family was poor and needed money badly, but Swamiji put the woman’s interest over His own.

I’m only beginning to understand generosity. My friend used to tell me about her father who would dip his hand into his pocket without looking at how much money he’s picking up to give to a homeless person. He used to say that counting the money may change his mind about parting with it. We need to find our own little ways to train ourselves to be generous. I pray for the buddhi to be generous. Obeisances at the Holy Lotus Feet!

    Jaya Guru Datta Appaji.
Sacrificing anything for the well-being or good for others is the best thing any one could do in their life.
Sacrificing self-interests should be built in from childhood
Dadichi, ranthidev etc are the best examples of this sacrificing attitude!

    • Perla Balaji on March 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm

Jgd. Prostrations to the lotus feet. One should develop these qualities for the elevation in the spiritual path.

Pranams to Sadguru for highlighting the essence of generosity and the opportunities to give ones time and attention to the needs of others without reward. Despite the challenges of daily life and numerous opportunities though not always taken up completely selflessly, I am practising and growing with Swamiji’s guidance. Sri Guru Datta

    Jaya Guru Datta,
generosity is a very nice quality. In order to live in peace and harmony with people around me I need to compromise – or even better: give up self-interested motivation.
Thank you Puttuji for todays mms.

Desire for wealth, craze for power and position are not wrong as such. But they should be used for right causes but not to contempt the less fortunate. We pray You Swamiji to bless us and guide us so that we become generous in actions and thoughts, do not fall pray to self conceit and arrogance, the twin evils that come out of superiority complex. Jaya Guru Datta Appaji – generosity doesnt lie in pompous donations or giving great things to anyone or everyone. His Holiness exhorted us all to this fact multiple times. Now is the time for us to know and put in practice the fact that society comes before self – that is having greater good of others before anyone thinks of self. Thanks a lot for the guidance Appaji

    • svetha on March 19, 2013 at 12:54 pm

    JGD Appaji
Appaji is kindness, generosity and love Himself. Whatever we have in this life is His gift. We own nothing. Then how can we claim ownership for anything. We need to treat everything as His gift and share it generously. The more we give, the closer He is.
