  1. Siv & Vis are playful twins. Siv cries: “Vis hurt me”
Mama: “What did u do for him to hurt you?”
    Siv: “Nothing”
Mama: “Vis, did u hurt Siv?”
Vis: “He pulled my hair, so I pulled his”
Mama: “Siv, see how u hurt him?”
    Siv puts his head down
Mama pats both: “Chalo, keep playing”
Siv(a)/Rudra & Vis(hnu)/Sridhara, are twin faces of one life principle, reciprocating each other. In the world of things we call it reaction. In the world beyond things, it is reciprocation. It’s not about “Why did this happen to me?” It’s about “How did I invite this upon myself?” If 1 finger points OUT, 3 point IN. Go back & see the magic wands.. one appears top down, other bottom up.. action & reaction.. equal & opposite
Pranams Appaji ! You’re Newton of our Inner World, revealing the Law of Reaction as it applies deep inside, beyond the world of things. We’ll be proactive & own our consequences, so we don’t have to pull our hairs! Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji

We must think good about that, what we do. All what we do gives a reaction of life. That is karma. When I want have a good karma, I must have good actions

Jaya Guru Datta,Swamiji! I love the magic wands in this video! As children in the US, it’s common to dress up little girls as princesses with magic wands for Halloween. This magic wand icon is common in our society and as little ones we see many fairy God mothers with magic wands granting wishes in stories. Alas, as we grow up we find out that wand isn’t real and like the princesses we mimicked as children who needed to be rescued by a handsome prince, we also discover that well– he’s not too real either…But we have you, Swamiji, and over and over again you tell us that our wands “are” real–they are our thoughts….our actions, our prayers…..each one of these MMMs have been teaching us how to use our own personal wands, to work our own personal magic in the world….what fun! What a playful wonderful image you have given us today!

It is so beautiful observing the actions of Sri Swamiji. OK, many of them are not visible to us. But those which we can see are so nice! And looking to all the wonderful reactions to HIS deeds. Through the MMS HE teaches us how to act in the world as to achieve wonderful reactions. Results which we can lay down reverentially to HIS Divine Lotus Feet.

Sometimes we are forced to react when negative actions of others put us or those we love in trouble. Yet we must also make sure that our reaction is dharmic. I pray for guidance that my reactions are always rooted in dharma and never in adharma. Om namo Hanumate namaha. Jaya Guru Datta.

Law of praarabdha karma is so simply elucidated. What goes around has to come around, the birth-death cycle, the sun rise and sun set, everything is bound by third law of Newton. Puttuji’s statement, It’s not about “Why did this happen to me?” It’s about “How did I invite this upon myself?” Is so beautiful. Urges me to introspect and correct myself a little more so that my current thoughts and deeds have a positive outcome in the near future. Oh Appaji, beautiful MMS, helps all of us to hold up our horses and re-evaluate our purposes and the courses of actions. Jaya Gurudeva Datta!

  2. Jaya Guru Datta. This has been a hard realization for me. All of the pain I have been through in my life wasn’t an accident. I must have needed to learn certain lessons. Maybe I hurt others in the past. I am sorry. Let me do better in this life. Let me do Your will, out of love for You and not for any other reason. I love you more than I can say. Sri Guru Datta.

    • Archana Penukonda on November 20, 2012 at 12:41 am

Jaya Guru Datta! Basic math applies in science as well as in spirituality. What goes around, comes around. Newton’s third law says action and reaction are equal and opposite. What we offer to this universe in terms of our interaction with the world around us, comes back to us in equal measure. When I was growing up, my mother would ask me to think of what I might have done wrong if I ever hurt or injured myself playing. The illnesses we develop or other professional or personal problems we encounter are all the result of bad karma from this birth or previous births. Until we exhaust all karma, we will keep going through this cycle of births and deaths. Sri Swamiji has also taught us that by dedicating all our actions to the Sathguru’s Lotus Feet i.e., by surrendering to the Sathguru, we can accelerate our exit from this cycle of births and deaths and attain liberation. May we always serve the Sathguru in complete surrender. Obeisance to the Holy Lotus Feet!

Each action is done out of a thought, be it speaking or doing anything else. Food determines thoughts, as Appaji tought us last month. So, if we want « good reactions » in our lives, if we want a good spiritual progress, let’s eat healthy food and be careful about what we think ! Swamiji told us in previous MMS :
    • Cultivate noble thoughts in the mind. Express them in pleasant words. Reflect them in your actions. The way to heaven is this.
    • Think before you talk
    • Bad thoughts are as harmful as bad actions!
    • A desired action should also be virtous
    • As you think so you become
    • Food determines thought. Thought determines action
Many many many thanks, dear Appaji, for all those extremely precious teachings. May I be able to follow them day after day! Jaya Guru Datta

Puttuji as you said in today’s MMS, Appaji is Newton of our inner world. Newton’s law says for every action there is a reaction. That is what you have explained in a simple way about Two children. According to me this MMS has got a deep inner meaning also. Here i  remember Appaji’s words saying that this is being Kaliyuga everybody has got an Arguement nature in every situation and thereby they want to establish what ever they do or create an action is correct only and don’t think there will be a reaction for this. This is also because they don’t have the patience to listen for the same. Here Appaji is reminding us why should be proactive and suffer the consequences arising there upon. Therefore to overcome this we have to control our mind. In otherwords we have to drive our mind so that we will not unnecessary involve in anything. At the sametime to control the mind, we have to develop our spiritual path for which we need our Sadguru  Whose teachings and words we have to follow strictly.     JGD.

JGD. A Masterful comment from Puttuji that I enjoyed as much as it elucidated.

Who acts and on whom comes reaction? Swamiji recently said in USA that we are puppets and God is the puppeteer and even the puppet is God. May this be our sense of Self, by Sadguru’s Grace. JGD.

Lord Krishna has assured us that this law of action and reaction does not affect those individuals who surrender the doership and the fruits of all their actions at the feet of God. That is why Sadgurudeva has us chant daily the beautiful prayer, “Kayena vaachaa …” If we give up our selfish desires and act merely as instruments of God, treating success and failure equally, the above law of accumulating the results of sins and meritorious deeds can be avoided. I pray to Sadgurudeva to lead us all to that state of zero balance of Karma. Jaya Guru Datta

Splendid message….. Good actions results in fortune as a result of our deeds. Similarly our bad deeds results as pain. This message is a good timely reminder for all of us to think and follow the righteous path. May lord bless us all to follow the righteous path and enjoy our life and also lead a meaningful life.

Each action is bound by the law of reaction ~ 19 Nov 2012

What goes up has to come down. You look at yourself in the mirror. It stares back at you. If you smile, you get back a smile! Every action we perform has a reaction, a reaction that might be seen instantly or over a period of time – even across births! That is how we go through our Karma. What we might have done earlier – either good or bad – comes back to us in equal proportion. That is why it is important to think good, keep thoughts pure and do good. As we have see in previous MMSses, thoughts lead to actions. We must watch our thoughts, actions and words always and make sure we do not hurt anybody or cause any pain. Let us do good, wish for the good of all in the world. The same goodness will be received by us when God deems it necessary. Let us discard selfishness and follow our Sadguru’s foot-steps in being selfless. Thank you Sadguru for a timely reminder to watch what we do! The fast paced music from Sri Swamiji’s healing music sets the background for the message perfectly! Jaya Guru Datta!

    JGD Appaji
Even a small ripple in a serene lake disturbs the whole water. It is very important not to get agitated immediately and react to things. Whenever we can, lets try to spread positive vibrations instead of negativity inside us and around us.
