  1. Life is a play. We play our part & move on to our next act. Lalitha plays from within each one of us. So, our act can be nothing but of very high quality. For, she is perfect. Always
Yet, our work is far from perfect.. because we’re pre-occupied with the consequences of what we do. We work because we seek its rewards. Those selfish benefits drive our action. So, there is anxiety.. “What if I fail ?” That anxiety distracts our attention and quality of work suffers
    Koti Pranams Sathgurudeva!
You’re Lalitha, personified. You’re evidence that enjoyment of work without selfish interests, results in excellence. The Happy Tune emanating from your keyboards is a manifestation of your inner state of eternal happiness.. that happiness is contagious
As your children, we can’t but emulate Your Holiness, in enjoying our work without selfish interests. The consequent excellence is our humble offering of gratitude at your lotus feet
    Jaya Guru Datta! Your Puttuji

Lord Krishna instructed Arjuna to work without attachment of results. Even a mundane job can be turned into worship if we think of Guru and God as we work. Chanting God’s name is wonderful way to get the job done well , it also makes work more enjoyable. Jaya Guru Datta. Om namo Hanumate namaha.

All what we can do is due to Sri Swamiji. He holds our pencil and guides our fingers when we type these words. Today He was giving me so much inspiration that i could finish my work in half the time and to have spare time for another work which needed to be done.
Often during work the bhajan “Vande Santam Hanumantam” comes in my mind. What a great joy it brings within!

Jaya Guru Dutta, when we think of work, quite often such lofty work like Sadguru Seva becomes selfish because we at least expect Guru’s blessings and love in return. If the mind is focused on quality of the work alone, selfish motive will fade away as quality becomes result in itself. I pray to my Sadguru to keep me focused on quality of work, be the work for a living or spiritual. Sree Guru Dutta

When I look in to today’s MMS, it is more or less linked with MMS 286. In 286, Appaji says True generosity sacrifice self interst for the well being of others. In otherwords when ever we do anything for the benefit of others, we should not do the same with a selfish interst or motive. Similarly here Appaji is reminding us that Work is Worship. Therefore when ever we do our work or involve in something, we should do the same perfectly with out a selfish motive. If we do like that we will get the job satisfaction which will lead to happiness at the end. In Mother’s creation in the nature, except humanbeing all others are doing their duty perfectly with out a selfish motive. But we as humanbeing always expect something in return when ever we do any work or involve in something due to our ego, pride or jealous what ever may be in this Kaliyuga. Here I even remember Appaji’s words saying that Do your Work perfectly and don’t wait for the result. Moreover on Maha Sivarathri day , Appaji has mentioned about this concept in His speech saying that ( Your job is to complete your sadhna and your worship with out fail—–). Therefore as per today’s MMS according to me to get rid of from selfish motive we have to control our mind. This is possible only through following the spiritual path under the guidelines of our Sadguru. Once we follow His words and teachings we can overcome from this concept and get happiness from our work. The photography is apt to this MSG since in Mother’s creation in nature we can see how beautifully the flowers are seen. Similarly Appaji’s music in key board also give us happiness . Thank You Appaji for Your timely reminders and we follow You. JGD.

How true Appaji. It is true that our day to day work earns our daily bread. But unless we enjoy our work it has no value and the quality also suffers. Jaya Guru Datta.

    • Adrian Antrum / Gopala, on March 16, 2013 at 10:09 am

Jaya Guru Datta, It is a blessing to find something one enjoys whether a hobby or in ones work. Without a love for ones interests we are vulnerable to seeking gratification from what we do leading to end gaining to give worth to our effort. To enjoy our work for it’s own sake frees us from an attachment to the results. What I learn from this MMS is it asks questions as what else we need to employ to produce quality certainly Focus, Concentration and Skill.
Thank you Swamiji for reminding us to find love in what we do which is taking us in the direction towards ‘Work is Worship’. This practice promotes a contentment with ones self and harmonises mind, body and spirit. Sri Guru Datta.

In today’s world almost every one wants money and to obtain that they go to maximum heights of selfishness. This is can be only removed when a person be’s at his best in the inside(heart).

The border of aiming to perform a work as well as possible for the work’s sake is very near to the anxiety not to succeed for one’s own reputation…. Please help us Swamiji that we get able to feel your guidance clearer and clearer so that such anxiety and doubts can fade away totally, and we can perform our work joyfully and free from doubts.and own concerns.
This MMS shows us amongst others that we have to become fully alert on our inner motives.
Thank you ! Jaya Guru Datta

Jaya Guru Datta Appaji – in a very subtle way this goes in line with the message to do the work without any attachment. One can enjoy the work only when it is done with a pure heart. That is driven by divine play to have a right balance to enjoy the work. This MMS from Your Holiness gives the right perspective to it to all of us as it directs us to be doing it without any selfish motive – for the general good contains our good. Thanks a lot Appaji

    Jaya Guru Datta Appaji_/\_!!

Sachchidananda Niti Mala ( Knowledge of the self):

It is very difficult to be in the world and perform actions without any selfish motive. Only a man of complete dispassion and detachment can do selfless actions in the strict sense of the term. Any work once begun if it should remain incomplete due to unforeseen causes, it will not go without its fruit. This idea appears in the Bhagavad Gita also. “In this (Karma Yoga) there is no waste of the unfinished attempt nor is there production on any adverse effect”. (Verse 40 Chap.2)

    Sadgurudeva: Jnaana Saagar I,
“Sarva karma parityāge tasya devasya darśanam”
If you sacrifice all actions, you will have the vision of God. It means “do your duty without any desire”. If one works and meditates with a pure and unwavering mind and without any desire, one can have the vision of God. Sri Guru Datta !!

    Sadgurudeva: Sivarathri, Mysore Ashrama,March 7,1997:.
Karma is like a house lock. Imagine a house lock. You put the key in the
lock and turn it clockwise, it opens. Turn it anti clockwise, it locks.
Likewise Karma acts both ways. It locks as well as unlocks – it
imprisons you as well as frees you. Some say that karma always imprisons
you. That is wrong. If we do our Karma in a selfless manner, our
previous bad Karma gets erased. There can be no bargain. If you do half
selfishly and half selflessly, then it will not work.
Sri Guru Datta !! Om Namo Hanumathe Namaha !!

    JGD Appaji
We experience true happiness and bliss when we are doing seva. We are so involved in it, we just love doing it. Automatically with His blessings, the results are also good. Such an attitude we need to develop in doing any work.. every instant whatever we do should be an offering for the divine.. then we are not bound by the results, for we derive the happiness in the work itself with no expectations of the result.. The journey itself becomes more fun than reaching the destination.

This is a new message. I was under the impression only hard work brings quality in work, true if it is with dedication one will automatically work for self satisfaction and that will ensure quality. Loved the message, may lord bless us all with work commitment and selflessness.
