  1. In a class full of brats, Manoj was too naughty to manage. Teacher made him Class Leader. Some months later, Manoj’s parents came to thank her for transforming their child. “You’ve such a responsible son” she said. The parents smiled. “We thank you for having inspired Manoj & for having provoked him to change. We cudn’t do it in 10 years!”. “Children are always responsible” she said again, in all humility.

    Pranams Gurudeva!
We’ve our own reasons for despair when we’re in difficulty. Some of us imagine a difficulty when none exists. You know. So, you provoke the Manoj in each of us. We’re inspired. Why despair with you our Ganesha within? We’re smiling. We’ll share our cheer & hope with those in difficulty.

We’ll help the despaired feel your grace in their bosom. Hanuman did that to Sita in the Asoka Vana. So will we. Thank you for the opportunity! Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji.

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji….well here I am, one of your biggest brats…I admit it…taking three steps forward and two steps back…hopefully creeping forward, but stumbling and falling…This is a wonderful and compassionate message today, not only in light of Hurricane Sandy, but as a reminder to be a consolation to those around us and to ourselves as we face our own small disasters. Grief has so many stages, Swamiji–anger, bargaining, depression, denial and ultimately acceptance. Thank for this reminder to be helpful to those who are suffering through these stages and to bring them cheer.

When I am happy and I meet people, the I can see how the face of them open also. At the other side: when I am sad or have problems, it is wonderful to see a person which is laughing to me. Then in ma also something can change. When we are in difficulties, often we see nothing that the things, which go wrong. Then we feel very bad. At these moments it helps, when persons give us a laughing or good words, then we can change our thinking and begin to resee the sun and all the good in this world. Then it is more easy to find solutions for our problems.

    Jaya Guru Datta,
what a cute monkey face Hanuman has and what a sweet figure Ganapathy is! May I take the time needed to listen to the problems of others and stand by there side. Cheer and hope – both will make them feel better and believe in there own strength. There might be dark days but the sun will come out again.

    Dear Swami AVADHOTTA,
Yes, this is beautiful and easy thing we can do for humanity.
Sri Guru Datta ~~~~~lots of love

  3. Jaya guru datta Puttuji! Lord Hanuman is the God of hope and cheerfulness. Reciting the mantra ‘Om namo Hanumthe namaha’ and chanting the word ‘Swamiji’ gave strength to fight my recent deadly sickness and pulled me out of my difficulty.Thank you Pujya Swamiji. Sata koti pranams at your lotus feet. Om Namo Hanumathe Namaha!

Yet another powerful message… Giving cheer and hope to those in difficulty is what Sri Swamiji does every second and now it is our turn to follow and put this in practice. Sometimes all we need to do is just lend an ear and offer a shoulder to cry on without being so judgmental about the person’s problems. Appaji says “be a ray of light wherever you go”.
    Beautiful video !!!

    • sridevi on November 6, 2012 at 10:32 am

Jai Guru Datta! May be these are the first steps of compassion; when we see someone unhappy, we want him to be happy. What we can do is to talk to him so he may see the situation under some light again. And remind the person of Sadguru’s grace…. ….!!! It may be good to give to the other one what we would like to be given in his situation. OM namo Hanumate namaha!

JGD.This is Good MMS.It is common that someones misery is other persons Mirth.A person walking on rhe road falls suddenly, for some it is mirth others give a hand to lift him from the ground.Great discoveries are made due to encouragement from people. Before the war of Mahabharatha, when Arjuna wanted to back off Lord Krishna encouraged Him with His Bhagavatgita. When Hanuma told that He is not capable of crossing the sea, Jambavanta, and others encouraged him and made him to recollect his powers.
The same way with children, if a boy is lagging behind he should be encouraged.
The Vidyardhi GyanaBhoda Sabha of Dattapeetham under the Chaimanship of Appaji, function in this lines. The yearly camps instill confidence, build personality and inculcate the sense to serve the society with humility.A large number of these children come on the top in exams.Appaji feels very Happy.
Due to various socio-economic conditions the youth to-day are vasting their vast intelectual potential, this energy is being chanalised in the right path.JGD.

JGD Dear Appaji, There is no greater example of a cheerleader than you. When approached by those feeling lower than the lowest, they receive the highest Love and encouragement. Is there anything better than to have the worries of the world lifted after receiving your Grace? Your example in this regard provides hope to all. Always provide positive feedback to any situation. When I think of Sri Swamiji first, before speaking, then I trust the proper words will be spoken. Thank you. Sri Guru Datta

sometimes when we bring positive energies to ones who are facing difficult times, this positvity can be contagious and can transform this person’s situation or his/her outlook on the situation. Sometimes bringing a smile to someone can impact on their entire day. Let us try to be positive in every situation as we know that Appaji is with us… just thinking of our sadguru can bring an infinite amount of positive vibes and energies our way…. jaya guru datta!

dearest Appaji, JGD, thanks so much for the wonderful message! And to show that not only to give cheer and hope but also as in the case of Manoji to give him believe in himself, if we are a ray of light in this world and give others believe in their own strengths and goodness, thats such a gift and makes the world more beautiful! Thanks for this MMS! JGD

Swamiji watches out for us guides and gives us hope and cheer each and every instant. Swamiji says ‘Manava Seva is Madhava Seva’ and Swamiji lives this dictum. Appaji is constantly teaching us that our purpose in life is to help others by activities performed by sadguru day and night for our welfare.

Appaji, we are inspired by Your Grace. We will follow you and help bring happiness to the lives of others.Gifting Appaji’s CDs, introducing them to online projects such as Divine MMS, Puttugam facebook, SSR, music therapy sessions etc is the best way to bring happiness and peace of mind to those in despair. Listening to
Sadgurudeva’s divine voice will immediately channel the thoughts of the troubled to Pujya Appaji. From then on, their upliftment is certain!!

Jaya Guru Datta! Dear Appaji, life has become much lighter for me since I’m aware of Your presence. As light as today’s music. Re-directing me towards God and the search of my inner light, automatically we are better able to cheer up others. We can whole-heartedly tell them that one can change the own life by mere changing of attitude and behaviour. This is the greatness of the divine. We can always decide each moment for the worse or the better. There is no need for hopelessness for the ones in difficulty. Thank you, Appaji, for enabling us to be good persons.

    • Hema on November 6, 2012 at 5:19 pm

A few days ago I read a quote from Sadguru where he asks us to relate to others not with the mind but with the heart. I am trying to do that and I realize how it brightens up the other person, and myself as well. It changes the dynamic between persons. Instead of being angry, judging, criticizing someone, now with the heart I pass along more love and warmth and less ego. It is our duty to give hope and cheer to those who need it everyday to everyone that we can. Sometimes all it takes is a smile or a few polite words to change someone’s day. After all Sadgurudeva teaches us that all creation is part of god. Thank you for showing us the way Appaji! Omnamo Hanumate namaha. Jaya guruDatta.

You are the best, Sadgurudeva Datta Sri Swamiji, in giving hope and cheer to those who have lost all hope and cheer. Your words carry such weight and conviction that even where hope seems out of place, I still place total faith in your words that all things will be all right in the end, just because you have said so. It is your word alone against all obvious odds. Yet, your words of assurance make a huge difference in my life. You do have the power to make things okay. You do have the power to avert danger. You do have the power to change lives for the better. You do have the power to reverse bad situations. You do have the power to transform people. You do have the power to save lives and souls. You are full of compassion. You have dedicated your life to helping us. You are here for us always. You are here for our families who do not even believe in you. You are here for your future devotees, who are now still non-believers. We are all in your safe, divine hands. Every one of us. JGD

    • Archana Penukonda on November 6, 2012 at 10:48 pm

Jaya Guru Datta! If one analyzed Sri Swamiji and wrote to-dos simply based on that analysis, it would result in the MMS messages we have. Sri Swamiji leads by example; He is a stellar role model for everyone from all walks of life. Of course, Sri Swamiji is Lord Siva Himself, so there’s no surprise that such a Sathguru is perfect.
Reflecting on the message, we will learn to give hope and cheer to those in difficulty. Although it seems like a small ask, it can become a little challenging when we are also in difficulty. We’ll need to remember this message always. Hopefully, by doing this, we can learn to put others’ difficulties ahead of our own. Although Sri Swamiji is only directing us to give hope and cheer, He Himself doesn’t stop at that. He goes out of His way and sacrifices everything He has to help another person – be it a human being or an animal. Sri Swamiji defines compassion and hope. Please bless us, Sri Swamiji, with the buddhi to always do your bidding. Obeisance to the Holy Lotus Feet!

Jai Guru Datta , wonderful quote Appaji. We do have to have to give hope & cheer them up./ When one is in difficulty only the person knows how he /she is feeling. Others can not feel or understand the intensity of the situation he/she are in. We all know how our Beloved Sadguru has come to our rescue in the time of need. Same way we have to help them & give them solace in listening to them & try helping them solve it if we can.We have a wonderful Teacher Appaji who is teaching us every moment. Tahnks gurudeva for such teachings.

Puttuji you have given a nice explanation for Appaji’s MMS. Here I remember Appaji’s words saying that God has given this birth to you as Humanbeing. Hence we have to face in our life both good and bad incident or experience. But if we follow a spiritual path through a Sadguru, then He will guide us in the right path and reduce the impact of our difficulties in our bad karma also. In Thretha yuga, even Lord Rama has suffered a lot for Sita mata and in Dwapara yuga Lord Krishna also suffered for the Peace and for the welfare of Pandvas who follow Dharma only. Therefore in this Kaliyuga , when our Sadguru is there who is the incarnation of Lord Datta why should we worry or despair since He will protect in all respects. At the same time Appaji is reminding us here to help good people (Sajjana)  when they are in difficulties and also give a cheer, move with them gently and give some hope according to their problem. Here I remember Appaji’s MMS 129 wherein He says treat as one family all the living beings who share your life. Therefore when we follow Appaji, we are all in Datta family and help others also when they are in problem in the possible manner. In otherwords this is also apart of our Sathsang. The photography is very apt to the MSG as Puttuji you have already explained about Lord Hanuman and Ganesa.

Extending helping hand to needy not only means for food, cloths or any other services, but includes cheering up those who are in need of it also. A doctor helps his patients by counselling to have healthy mind along with health body. Teacher helps his students by cheering his students in various aspects like academics, sports and in growing up as a good individual in society. Similarly all of us should try cheering ourselves and those around us as friends and relatives who are in difficulty and help in improving self confidence. May lord bless us with loving and caring people around us who extend their kind support when required and help us in growing more stronger in difficult situations of life.

What comes down must rise up, like the water that rains down from the clouds rises up again as vapor to give us life-giving showers once more. When spirits are down and hopes are dashed to the ground, they have nowhere to go but up again. With our Sadgurudeva’s infinite compassion drenching us and his readily outstretched helping hand reaching down to us, let us always be eager to pick ourselves up to serve him with our body, mind, soul, and all worldly resources as well. Give cheer and hope to those who are in difficulty – 6 Nov 2012

We are all so blessed to be under the care of Sadguru. No difficulty seems impossible to deal with. Sri Swamiji has given us the strength to deal with all circumstances in life. But at times we do come across family and friends going through trying times that causes sorrow and despair. It becomes our duty to give them reassurance and try to cheer them up. Bringing a smile to the face of person in despair is a very noble thing. Sri Swamiji has been doing just this for all who come to Him seeking help, solace. Sadguru is divinity personified and can bring joy just by a mere look, touch or word as said in one of the MMS. As His disciples, we must attempt to help people in distress and give them hope. The video is very apt and nicely conveys this message. Jaya Guru Datta.

this beautiful mms itself is so cheering up with strong colours and the kaleidoscopic visualization reminding me of my childhood where I loved to see those magic changing patterns in a simple cardboard tube. how many times sri swamiji has cheered me up in all possible ways! our beloved Divine sadguru is the ultimate hope for all and everything. this summer You gave me such a profound experience of how You emerge at the core of darkness that I can only feel a silent deep gratitude in my heart and pray that hope and cheer may radiate to others in difficulties.
