  1. Pranams Gurudeva !

You taught us it is sin to see a Guru as an ordinary human being. You are now teaching us how to see the Guru. Your life is your teaching, Gurudeva !

Decades ago, when you blessed us with the prayer ‘Shiveti Shoureti’, we knew your mission transcends class & caste. You are “bedhabhava nivarthaka”. Your grace removes such difference from our minds too

You are “Vishwaprarthana mandireshwara”. When you named our place of prayer in Mysore Ashrama as the “Universal Prayer Hall”, we knew your grace transcends all cultures & geographies

When you chose Nada as your medium of communication & worship, we knew your mission transcended all languages

Thanks a ton, for being the divine light helping us see the world as one universe ( uni –one; verse – song) Vasudeva Kudumbakam. In that reassuring & liberating feeling, we dedicate ourselves in service of your mission. Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji

Miillions of humble prostrations to the lotus feet of Bedhabhava nivarthaka .Pujya Sadgurudeva !!

    Jaya Guru Datta Puttuji!!

Sadgurudeva is a symbol of world peace, love, and humanity. His infinite compassion transcends all layers of society, its levels, and differences. The dove entering Appaji is symbolic of that. What a beautiful MMS. Our Mysore ashrama in the background… what a beautiful sight.. Thank you Puttuji for this fabulous MMS.

Appaji, You have taught mankind through example how to practice what You preach!! You walk the talk!! Your infinite compassion for the distraught and needy is evidenced through so many of your projects – Ammavodi, Hospital and medicines for the sick etc. We will definitely imbibe your teachings Appaji and conduct ourselves without discriminating against cast, creed, and religion. You teach us so many valuable lessons every day and are such a positive influence in my life.

Dharmic activity of Pujya Bala Swamiji in Warangal town yesterday, reaching orphans and beggars along the street in the cold night and giving them blankets touches our hearts and it clearly makes us follow todays lesson.

Sri Jayalakshmi mathre namah !!Om Namo Hanumathe Namaha ! Sri Guru Datta!!

Jai Guru Datta Appaji and Jayaho Puttuji!
The Glorious Appaji Darshan with the stunning Mysore Ashram background was a visual treat! It was very rejuvenating and cleansing!

If this simple message was properly understood, there would be much less turbulence in the chaotic world today. Puttuji’s elaborate comments are fabulous as ever!

Let us commit ourselves to meditating on the Radiant Sacchidananda Swarupa of our beloved Swami Avadhoota, who is beyond all dualities/divisions – so we can shed all our discriminations, misperceptions, imperfections, confusions in this Divine pursuit
    … and one day,
We can merge into the Divine Light of Pujya Gurudeva like the white Dove (with an untainted heart, Peace-filled mind, blissfully dancing to the Music of our Nada-Brahma)!
Truly longing for that day… Sri Guru Datta!

    Jaya Guru Datta,
yes, Swamiji stands above classification! Our Sadguru is not excluding people because of caste or class. He showers His blessings equally to everybody.
If we distinguish and exclude others, we should ask ourself why we do so. I am sure it is because of selfish reasons…..
Dear Swamiji, let me be less selfish and share in all ways.
    Sri Guru Datta

    • Joseph on November 16, 2012 at 12:03 pm

God who takes a form, He is still Devine and for sure beyond caste and class differences because caste was created depending on their respective works, but unfortunately caste is considered depending on birth and making it an issue to ill-treat others. All of us are His children and no parents will have any differentiation between their children. Yes surely the way of conveying their care differs depending on the nature of the child. Similarly God is beyond division unlike human who creates division among himself due to duality and in society due to class differences. May Lord bless us all to understand and realise the fact that God is beyond all these class differences, so we should also inculcate the same to have harmonious society.

Jaya Guru Datta, Appaji ! You taught us in former MMS :
    – Great souls treat the rich and the poor alike. Moonlight shines equally on a jungle and a castle.
    – Treat as one family all the beings who share your life.
    – Showing discrimination is a sin. Treat everyone equally.
Beloved Sadguru Deva, may I be able to follow your example and let your divine light transform me to a good person who loves and treats everyone equally. Sri Guru Datta.

Jaya Guru Datta, In 1992, in Mysore, Swamiji called me to the interview room one morning after puja. When I arrived, He reached into his hair and pulled out a saligram pendant and told me it was a gift from Lord Shiva. He instructed me to wear it every day and to wear it outside where everyone could see it. Little did I know at that time that many believed that women shouldn’t even touch saligrams let alone wear them on their body. It wasn’t long until I learned that lesson. And more than once over the years when I have gone to a new temple, the priests there have literally tried to take it off of my neck. But it hasn’t only been the Indians who have had difficulties with this, it has also been the westerners. Since 1992, I have taught at three private Catholic colleges where my students were very conservative. Wearing this saligram around my neck day after day in class made many of them uncomfortable. Some associated stones with witchcraft or black magic, others with being “pagan” which was to them a frightening thing and it caused more than one student to whisper behind my back or be afraid of me. To this day, I wear this necklace constantly and it continues to provoke a variety of reactions many now more positive since it is 20 years later than when I first wore it. Even store clerks sometimes try to touch it. For me, Swamiji’s request for me to wear this all of the time where others who might object could see it was like becoming a lightening rod for their fears and prejudices. For whatever reason, Swamiji has wanted me to also experience this and needless to say it has taught me many lessons. Despite those who would rip it off my neck, condemn me as evil or would try to steal whatever “power” they thought the stone would give them, I have continued for 20 years to wear this emblem of Swamiji’s work to overcome these kinds of prejudices and fears around my neck. I will continue to do so for as long as He asks because I am so proud of how my Guru works for equality in so many areas, especially for women, minorities and those of the lower castes.

Jaya Guru Datta. Appaji, this reminds me of the castelessness of the ONENESS and divinity that Your Holiness taught everybody in Hyderabad on the day of releasing the epic bok – Raga Raagini Nada Yogamu. I still remember the time when one of the music maestros was crying in happiness understanding the deep rooted meaning of what Appaji said – “casteless wick – Jaati leni jyothi” . Jayaho Appaji

    • Kambhoji on November 16, 2012 at 4:15 pm

    Dearest Appaji

This whole video radiates with divine happiness!
It reminds me so much of the time when I soon got acquainted with You 22 years ago.
Savitramma showed me the “Siveti Sauriti” which touched me deep in my heart.
For the first time I met a prayer where all the humans, all the religions were equally accepted.
I felt: here must reside God! – and I had the strong wish to meet You.
“Er isch ganz Liecht!” (“He is totally light”) commented my eldest daughter (5 years old) the picture, when she draw You after having seen You for the first time. How right she was!
What a beautiful final foto with You and with the white pigeon, which in our culture is a symbol of peace!

    Om shanti shanti shanti
    Yours Kambhoji

No human categories can apply to Sadguredeva as HE is beyond human limitations. Appaji you are divinity personified , the light of your love, compassion and grace is infinite and beyond our capacity to understand. You are the light of all the worlds and the light that destroys the ignorance of your devotees no matter how sinful we are. Om namo Hanumate namaha. Jaya Guru Datta.

Light, power, energy, just like the five elements are beyond limits, boundaries, color, caste and class. They belong to everyone irrespective of any imaginary divisions. Universal prayer hall is in itself an example, allowing everyone to meditate and pray irrespective of their origin. Ugadi celebrations in Hyderabad and Devi navarathri celebrations in Mysore witnesses serpentine queues every year. People from everywhere come to catch a glimpse of Sadgurudeva and receive His blessings. He sits patiently to see and listen to every soul who has come visiting Him. He is untouched and undifferentiated just as the five elements. He is the Light, Energy and Power. He is divine. Prostrations to your lotus feet. Lots of love. Jaya guru datta.

    Jaya Guru Datta Puttuji,

Very true…. For Sri Swamiji all same… like a mother, HH takes care of everyone who takes shelter under His cosmic umbrella. Class and caste difference are created by Human beings. Pujya Sri Swamiji is personification of God and is above all these. Thank you Appaji for this wonderful MMS message.

Jgd.This is true the form of Guru,HE is beyond all set rules of Humanity. The Form of GURU is like FIRE,AIR,WATER,SKY,and EARTH, the 5 elements known to us,Like Air,Water, etc which are free all GURU is also approachable to all.If any one thinks that GURU belongs to them alone, then it is like Keeping the Hand in front of the Eyes and saying that the Sun is not visible to anyone as my hand has covered the sun.By putting a barrier one cannot say that the water is stopped flowing down, it is stopped for a brief period,By closing the door the wind or the sun rays are stopped?,we have screened our self, likewise, GURU has not created any barriers around him.The DWARA(door) of GURU are always open. What a TRUE GURU expects from his devotees is not to apply the Human characters to GURU.
When GURU is teaching VEDA the Veda Matha is not saying that it will not go to the person because he is poor, he is black,he is short, etc, on whom so ever Tongue the GURU writes the divine letters it goes.

Appaji is an AVADOOTA  who is the incarnation of Lord Datta and thereby He is our Sadguru in this Kaliyuga . Puttuji, you have also given a very nice explanation for this MMS. I associate with Smamiji from 1982 onwards and attending all the main four functions in the Ashram in an year regularly by His blessing. To my experience when you enter the ashram the first lesson Appaji gives to practice discipline. By doing so we will get more concentration which ultimately lead to the spiritual path. Second ally  when you attend or sit in the prayer hall you can note, Appaji treat everybody equal and there is no caste or class difference. At the same time the Pooja or Homa will be performed by the people who are connected to it. Here i remember Appaji words saying that, He is performing according to Sastras. But as far as the devotees are concerned He consider as one and the same family and that is Datta Family. In this Kaliyuga it is very diffcult to make understand people about this concept. To my experience even to me Appaji has told once when I associate with Him some of our relatives cannot digest this concept.( Thai is everybody is equal).  But Appaji has told me that not to worry about these things and those who have got some connection in the earlier Janma with him can only associate with him in this Janma. Hence I felt  that Iam very fortunate to get Appaji as my Sadguru in this Janma also. Not only me but our entire family are following Appaji and His words and teachings and there by we are happy and have a peaceful life. Therefore Appaji we are so fortunate to get You as our Sadguru and we will follow your words and work to develop your mission also.    JGD

Jaya Guru Datta! The Almighty comes down to earth in the form of Sathguru. How can the Almighty be bound by caste or creed. Caste and creed and other boundaries are made by man. The five elements of nature, plants, animals etc, all made by the Almighty have no caste or creed just as the Almighty has no caste or creed. The visuals in the video are beautiful! What caste or creed can bind the white dove in the end of the video or the beautiful blue sky. People of all faiths are drawn to Sri Swamiji and he welcomes everyone with the same love. Our Sathguru is much bigger than our imagination. This Universe is His playing field. We earthlings are lucky that He is with us in a physical form. Please bless me, Swamiji, that I never commit the sin of getting fooled by Your physical appearance. Obeisance to the Holy Lotus Feet!

Sadguru is beyond caste and class differences ~ 16 Nov 2012

A master is beyond the differences of caste, creed, language, race, color and any divisions made by man. He only looks for souls and works towards elevating them. Our universal prayer hall stands high to show the universality of our Sadguru. Ashram has devotees coming from all parts of the world and from all faiths. It is the divinity in Sri Swamiji that attracts them. This divinity is universal! He is the light of our lives. He shows us the way out of our ignorance. But we humans, still believe in distinguishing people based on caste and creed. We are all human beings who breath the same air, who drink the same water, who live on the same earth – all of which are given by Lord. Let us all believe in one religion called Humanity and overcome these barriers. Only when we follow our Sadguru in this aspect, will there be harmony and peace in the world. Also, we will grow out of our narrow mindedness and practice universal brotherhood. Lord Datta is universal. He is not bound by religion. As Datta family, let us all follow this path shown by our Master – Jaya Guru Datta.
