Oh, dear Sadguru Deva! Your wondeful smile penetrates directly into my heart! While I look at this video again and again, my mind gets very peaceful and my heart is filled with happiness. You are so beautiful already without smiling. But when you smile, I find no words to describe your beauty and your radiance.
With my own smile I can give only a minite fraction of that happiness to other people. But still, it is worth doing it, and I will try to smile more often. This will simultaneously enlighten a little bit the mind of the others as well as my own mind. Thank you for this happy making video! Jaya Guru Datta

    Jai Guru Datta,
to me personaly the heart is the essence of what a human being can be. I might be wrong and there may be much more, but what I want to say in this context is : a smile comes from the heart and a big heart has a big and cheerfull smile. I haven´t seen a smile wich is broader and more warming then that of our beloved Sadguru. To simply look at His smile, wich is full of bliss, compassion, beauty, innocence and wonder, transforms our hearts.

Jaya Guru Datta. The Best Face Paper is Smile to the Face. There is a whole book on Smiles of Swamiji, written by Sri Shadharshanam Somasundera sarma(late), the book not available now.The earliest anecdote about smile is, What the distance between the 2 S”s in smiles?, this was in school days.
The other one I liked was Laughter is the best Medicine, from Readers digest.this column used to contain subtle humor. The often sad thing about Smile is it breaks out when some one is in discomfort.
.It is said that Face is the Index of the Mind, the thoughts that go in our mind reflect on the Face. When a smile breaks out indicates all is well.
The smile is that of Drupathi, queen of the Pandavas, she smiled when King Duryodhana faced little inconvenience in the Mayasabha.
Of All the Smiles the one that breaks on the face of KID is the best. This is a genuine smile of gratitude. This expression is a marvelous sight.
The Best so far in My Life is the SMILE that broke out on the Face of APPAJI when balloons and buntings flew out from the dome of Royal Albert Hall. .

There are like magic, these smiles,
    coming directly from the heart,
they are capable to perform miracles…
they build bridges where they were trenchs,
they can transform grim and dark expressions into charming, joyful faces,
    they spend relief, comfort, togetherness,
make the world cheerful and warmer.

Give as a gift a smile to the being you meet on your way!
Give as a welcome a smile to yourself
when you watch your face in the mirror in the early morning!
“I love You”, is the message of the smile –
what could be more beautiful for us than the divine smile of our beloved Sadguru!

    Jaya Guru Datta

Dear Swamiji, Your music is unic. I bow down to YOU. It’s mystic: You are a Nada Yogi!!! Million thanks to share Your devine inspiration with us. May the vibrations of your music reach out over our planet.

Beningly Potent and infectiously contagious is this smiley smiley MMS. His smile melts away all fears, all illness, all maladies and all negativity. Instant gratification of mind and soul. Pasivadavaithe ninnu ethukoni muddhu aade vaaramu. Parama pavitra, karuna rasatra, oh Dattatreya! You are my reason to smile even in dire worldly sorrows. You taught me to smile and remain silent even when I was suffering deep down (so did I think). I realized that your instructions were actually healing me from deep within. Appaji, please bless me with an opportunity that can make me make you smile with abandon. That’s the only way this birth of mine can be reveling. Pranams to my Sadgurudeva. Smiles galore Appaji!! Jaya Guru Datta.

My Humble pranamams to Sadguru LOTUS FEET.
    Om Namo Hanumate Namah.

  4. Jaya Guru Datta. Dearest Mother Sri Swamiji, I love you and I love your smile. Bliss. Since You came into my life, or maybe I should say since I became aware of You, I smile a whole lot more. Sri Guru Datta.

    • Anjana on November 17, 2012 at 9:43 pm

Om Namo Hanumate Namah ….dear Appaji your smile is magical and lights and lightens up the world ! that which makes us smile on the inside too is the best make up isn’t it? Love you for connecting inner smiling and beauty. Happy Diwali!!!

  5. JGD & SGD. His Holiness Sri Appaji said it rightly that a smile enhances the beauty of face and lightens mind. In fact 10 times more number of muscles have to contract to form a frown tough face. Less number of muscles need to produce a smile. That is why faces of always angry & tensed up people have more wrinkles and crow feet. Others stay away looking at the angry face. On the other hand, a smile welcomes others to smile back to begin with. You come across all advertisements- any product- showing Happy and smiling people- an endorsement that the product keeps the user Happy.

Our world is more and more a difficult place to live. We all have problems. But we shouldn’t walk the whole day with a face trist. There are always nice things around of us. We should see these things and be happy. Then we can smile. And when we smile, we begin to feel, that all these things so heavy become light-weight. And this not only for us: also other people begin to see the good things and begin also to smile. All people round of us feel better when we walk with a big smile through the life.

    • T.r.sethuraman, Cochin on November 18, 2012 at 12:52 am

In today’s MMS, the photography itself shows how much happiness, we are getting from our Sadguru through His different types of smiling. The small six line Bhajan Datta Thereya has got great inner meaning as Puttuji , you have explained here. It is a fact that He is an ( Apada mitra). Our Appaji is being the incarnation of Lord Datta Himself, to my experience He has saved our family in1985 from a great distress which I cannot forget till the end of my life. ( Parma Pavithra) Appaji, Your divine smile itself enough for us to get energy to work and to do the day to day activities in the proper way. ( Karunarasatra) Appaji’s heart is like a flower and thereby He is so kind enough to give love and affection to us like a Father, and like a Mother which Iam really experiencing. Therefore the Bhajan is very apt to the MSG. Appaji by seeing your smiling face we forget all our worries. Here I even remember the MMS104  wherein if you speak lovingly and with a smiling face to elderly it gives them much happiness.    JGD.

So erlebe ich immer wieder ein paradiesisches Gefühl bei DEINEM Lachen
Ich danke DIR für DEINE wundersame Hinwendung.

“Smile” can reduce miles of distance between two people and smile is contagious. Smile is the out put of happiness like tears are for unhappy mood. True that smile adds beauty to face, personality and make us to forget our grief. Research had proved that a person smiles or laughs more in his childhood and so they are healthy physically and psychologically. As we grow up with responsibilities, we gradually forget being happy and fall sick. Though laughter therapy is brought about, still smile or laughter with joy has it’s extraordinary healing properties. May Lord bless us all to be happy, contended with life and keep smiling always…..

    • tunga on November 19, 2012 at 5:18 am

sri swamijis smile is so charming and bliss-bestowing, heart-melting and enlightening, encouraging and refreshing, enchanting and intoxicating – what could one need more than our beloved sadguru smiling (or laughing) at us. sometimes when I see a foto of Him I feel that this is the most beautiful I have ever seen, but the next one will also be the most beautiful.
maybe the utmost beautiful is sensing how sometimes a smile is arising and brightening up the face, and feeling that it is Your smile from deep within. now, here, eternally.

  6. To see the smile of Appaji makes my heart sing and fills it with peace and joy.. Jaya Guru Datta

    • Venkat on November 19, 2012 at 4:48 pm

Jaya Guru Datta. Appaji is always smiling, even with so much work and so much responsibility of PROTECTING all the beings (not just the people nor just the devotees). His work schedule transcends geographies, time zones, schedules and worlds and what not…
Then, what is the problem for us to keep smiling? We are definitely not hoarding as much responsibility as His Holiness is – I also read at a lot of places that smiling is the simplest thing that can make up people. Lets keep smiling and emulating our role model, our own Appaji.

That which gives beauty to the face and lightens the mind is a smile – 17 Nov 2012

A beautiful smile from Appaji makes your heart smile! It makes you forget the world, fills you with bliss and your heart blossoms! The compassion, love and warmth radiated from that smile stays with you always. Each time it is remembered, it gives the same wonderful feeling. Appaji’s genuine love makes this possible. It bridges all gaps and crosses all barriers. We must also learn to wear a true smile when we meet people. A smile is said to be the shortest distance between two people. A true smile adds beauty to your persona. It makes one more approachable, friendly and warm. Let us also try to practice this truly and get rid of frowns forever! Jaya Guru Datta

    • Archana Penukonda on December 18, 2012 at 7:52 am

Jaya Guru Datta! Indeed, when Pujya Sri Swamiji smiles, it feels like everything is alright and there’s nothing to worry about. It’s a smile that comes from deep within and a smile that can light up a million faces. Devotees know how much it means to them when Sri Swamiji smiles at them. Never before has the world seen such a beautiful form and such a beautiful smile. Thank You for this message, Puttuji. Face is the index of the mind, but by adding a smile to the face, we can lighten the mind. A smile on our face can put others at ease and an iron out any wrinkles in our interactions. May the Datta family members always keep smiling and always receive the full grace of Sri Swamiji! Obeisances at the Holy Lotus Feet!
