    Jay Guru Datta
Be loyal and true to yourself makes life easier. There is a logic what gives a basic for own life. If not you have alwaysd to think what was not true and what to tell to other people. Your memory becomes more important, but you use it on a wrong way and makes the things more complicated.
Be loyal and true to yourself. I like this statement. I thank you very much Swami JI.

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji! To Thine Own Self Be True! Physician Heal Thyself! All good changes begin in our own minds and actions…Thank you for this reminder this morning that we must follow our own hearts and inner guidance. That is where you are….that is from where the true good advice will come….

If one is true and loyal to one`s own heart, one can also try to be loyal to others .
For this great task a good friend is a good fortune, a treasure … feeling Sadguru in one`s own heart ,
as a precious friend, surrounding the worlds of our lifestream in a boat together … namaste …

Dattatreya Hanuman a ki…Jai…good morning Appaji…lovely concert…lovely dreams…being true to ones self…there is no other way to be…even if one must be a stranger to ones own family…never adopt another’s beliefs just to fit in, especially if those beliefs are prejudice against another who may be different…if the company you keep, be it family or friends, are not loving, and kind to all…be true to yourself…leave that place, and don’t look back…if you have doubts…always ask yourself…what would Appaji do in this situation? Think with your heart…trust your heart…it will never let you down…Happy Day!

  2. {Loyal: Faithful} {True: Sincere, Genuine}
We know how to be loyal & true to another person.. boss, spouse, friend, to a principle, or to a cause. Consequences of doing what is acceptable to others can be so intoxicating, the urge & applause can silence that little voice inside of us. Once that high feeling wears off, that little voice gets after us.. and there is nowhere to hide. Our faces smile, hearts bleed. Clothed in prosperity, we are naked impoverished within. We turn victims of guilt & tranquilizers.. consequences of not having been true to ourselves
    Pranams Gurudeva,
That crystal ball in your hand reminds us of Datta’s first Guru- Earth – which like you, never swerves from its path of righteousness. We’re learning from you. In being true to your cause, we’ll be true to ourselves. In that loyalty lies our fulfilment. Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji

Who is ‘yourself’ really, non other than Sadgurudev!
So difficult in practise to be really true and loyal to oneself!
Thank you Swamiji for your divine guiding wisdom.

This comment is aimed for the MMS of today and yesterday.I tried to post a coment 6 times since yesterday. It is in vain.It is my tenacity to respond to Appaji, that me try this no. of times.Unflinching tenacity in a work leads to devotion.A total surrender makes a man fearless. The Devotion of Prahallada in Lord Vishnu made him fearless in tough situations.God did not let him down.
When we are loyal to what we believe, truth follows.Swamiji always says Truth Wins.JGD.

  3. JGD. Very apt advice Appaji. You have taught previously that my self and Your Self are the same, so being true and loyal to myself is being true and loyal to You. Bless us to follow Your Path with Truth and Loyalty. Sri Guru Datta.

Being true to myself requires first discovering things about myself, weeding out the bad and preserving the good. Last night at the concert I discovered the loud noises within me that are sometimes louder than Sadgurudeva’s most divine music, and unfortunately drown it out here and there. It may be a fleeting thought that makes me miss a few melodious notes, sometimes a lapse into sleep that made me miss a sweet nuance. Sometimes it is the conflict within whether to enjoy the beauty of Swamiji’s physical presence along with the vibrant music or to simply close the eyes and focus on the sounds alone. I pray to Sadgurudeva Datta to please silence these sounds within the core of my being and to allow me to fully relish His presence in my life in whatever and whichever form or forms He wishes to permeate my being, be it as celestial notes and rhythms, whiffs of heavenly fragrance, beauty to the eyes that is indescribable, or the sweet touch of His wise verbal or intuitive vibrations or all of these. I feel like a millionaire who regrets even dropping a few pennies inadvertently. Jaya Guru Datta

  4. JGD.Loyal to self is possible if only one practice Yama and Niyama of Yogasastra.Otherwise one should follow a Sadguru in all respects.,being a simple way This shall lead every one towards the goal of life.OUR APPAJI gives us this message knowing well of our erratic quality that requires to be mended to make us suitable in His mission, by virtue of His abundant grace on usSGD

Jaya Guru Datta! Human birth is precious and it’s purpose to is attain liberation, to get out of the cycle of births and deaths. If we don’t listen to our inner voice, our conscience, we can never succeed in the pursuit of truth. The message is just as applicable to our person and professional lives too. To create your own identity, you have to be true to yourself. Sri Swamiji has always been a thought leader, encouraging people to carve out their path while upholding the principles of dharma. I had the opportunity to drive Sri Swamiji from the venue of Sri Chakra Puja in San Jose to Guru Nilayam one day. I was following the directions provided by someone and made one wrong turn. Sathgurudeva remarked that I should use my GPS and not listen to what someone else told me. Sathgurudeva’s remark is a gospel, valid at all times in life. Follow your inner voice and do what you know is right, not what others tell you. Obeisances to the Holy Lotus Feet!

    • Vanaja on November 25, 2012 at 1:35 pm

    Jaya Guru Datta,
if I am not loyal to myself first then I cannot be truly loyal to anyone or anything. Self loyality is an attitude which helps to stay true to myself. Self loyality is determined by my own personal hierarchy of values, beliefs and expectations. If I manage to obtain self loyality it brings a sense of dignity. When dignity helps in feeling better about ourselves self loyality is a concept that deserves thinking about.

Dear Puttuji, please guide me so I can be true to myself and have a life which contains the values of dharma. Thank you so much for this mms and to show us the right path again and again. I bow down to your holy feet. Pranams.

Yes , this is important to be true and loyal to ourself and to ‘our self’, who is God. Thank You beloved Swamiji for this beautyful MMs.Prostrations to Your Lotusfeet.

    • Sabine on November 25, 2012 at 2:46 pm

I Think thai is difficult to be loyal and true to yourself , you have to recognize previously if you gave an selfish attitude towards certains persons for example. In My heart I know that special behaviours of persons make me get angry …they behave repeating and repeating the same structurs . Perhaps i should break because my heart says to me : This is nor good for you”, but if these persons are my relatives (sisters) it is very complicated and I have to choose a wayin between … .

Brutal honesty with myself is what led me to firmly believe in Swamiji, leaving aside all insecurities about having to sacrifice attachments to money and people. Yes. It was most scary at first, to let go of my faith in my own judgment about how to care for my future and to rely totally on Sadgurudeva’s word that he would look after me if I followed him. I had to flash a strobe light upon myself to find all the hypocrisies lying hidden within. I had to expose them and throw them out. It was not easy then and it is not easy now. At every turn, Datta Guru’s guiding hand is felt, gently placing me back on track anytime I tend to veer off pulled by the powerful magnet called attachment. Thank you Datta. Victory to you always!

JGD. During how many years did I try to fit into a shoe that was not made for me, that was too small? I did it during my childhood and younger adult age. Of course I did not feel well in this world and society. I was not able to be true to myself because I simply did not (want to?) know how to find out my true nature.
If we are not loyal and true to ourselves we are not loyal towards the others because we don’t show our true face and don’t behave authentically. But sometimes it is difficult because people might expect us to be as they wish us to be. So we try to fulfil their expectation because we don’t want to hurt them or, especially as a child, it is the way we try to get the love of our parents. Or we feel we just have fit into specific life situations in order to avoid problems. But in reallity, it is no use to play the role of somebody else in life because we will suffer much frustration and maybe even get ill.
How and where do I find the truth about myself ? It is only possible by exploring my heart, where I find YOU and Your Guidance, dear Sadguru. If I listen to my heart, I will be able to behave according to my own dharma. I will also be stronger to bear the situations if people don’t like me as I am.
Thank you dear Appaji, for Your most precious Guidance from heart to heart. Thank you for making me reflect about this important subject. SGD

Appaji has given a nice lesson today through this MMS. According to me it has got a deep inner meaning in it. In otherwords in a simple way if you think, Appaji says that before we speak to others or do any action we should be first loyal and sincere to ourselves. If we see Appaji’s a four line sloka with it’s meaning forwarding through( DattaSadguru) daily it is more or less connecting to this MMS also. Now here Appaji is saying about ( Loyal  and True to yourself). Our mind has got an important role in this aspect. In otherwords our mind should be clean, perfect and able to control for which we have to follow Appaji’s words and teachings and develop our spiritual path. In this Kaliyuga music or Nama sangeerthana  is the easiest way to control and concentrate our mind. More over it soothes our mind and give good spiritual energy also. By practicing or listening like this we will learn loyal and true to ourselves. This will also help us to justify ourselves before we speak Or do any action depend upon the situation to others. Therefore once we learn this concept we will have only company with good people and what ever we are doing or in our action, we will be always sincere to the core. More over , Appaji by seeing smiling and kindness in Your face we got your concept andwill follow your teachings and share with you for the development of your Mission.   JGD

Marvellous message to be followed by all of us to lead a peaceful life. One can cheat everyone surrounding him, but definitely not himself. The only way to be devoid of guilt and lead a peaceful life is to be true and loyal to oneself, else due to guilt it will be difficult to face ourselves in a mirror, if one is conscious of their own deeds. In day to day worldly activities one may find it to be an easy way by cheating and misguiding others, but surely this will not result a peaceful life. I feel though a long route to travel, living with righteous conduct is most essential for which being loyal and true to oneself is part of it. Else life becomes miserable not only due to the results of deed but also due to the guilty conscious. May lord bless us all with the courage and attitude of accepting truth and being loyal to oneself.

Be loyal and true to yourself – 25 Nov 2012

Our ‘Self’ is nothing but a speck of divinity whom we all refer to as God! Many of us also call this as conscience. It is the witness to all our thoughts and actions. We can fool or deceive anybody but not this conscience which is within us. This conscience warns us when we think or do anything wrong. If only we are true to our conscience and are loyal to it, we will automatically tread the path of righteousness. For us to become aware of this, a master is very much required. By association with Sadguru, we are able to understand the existence and importance of our Self! May Lord Datta help us lead a truthful and loyal journey. Jaya Guru Datta!

    Jaya Guru Datta Puttuji,

Very clear and precise message in this MMS video. When ever we do something wrong, inner voice inside us says it is wrong. When we are loyal and true to overselves, over confidence boosts and we can perform any action with pride. I pray pujya gurudeva to bless us always to be loyal and truthful to oversleves and follow the path of righteousness.

it was a special and wonderful experience to watch this mms together with some datta devotees and –bandhus concluding our biannual satsangh that sunday. how blessed we are by sri swamijis presence, in so many forms, in so many ways. knowing that our beloved sadguru is always with us I do not always feel You being here because my attention is caught by so many unimportant concerns. therefore, i guess, You create those precious occasions like satsanghas and the daily mms for us to really feel and experience Your permanent presence with us and in us. how could we ever thank You but by surrendering to You and serving You the best possible.

It is easier to be truthful outside.. but being completely truthful with ourselves will dawn with the realization that Appaji is always with us, watching us and inside us. Until that realization dawns, Appaji is patiently waiting with us even if we make mistakes.. Thank You Appaji..!
