  1. {Ugra: Powerful, noble, formidable}
“Be an instrument” – said Krishna to Arjuna, in the Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 11, Verse 33). His Holiness our Krishna, wants us to do the same
We did this well, as kids. When mother throws the child high up in the air, the child smilingly falls back into her hands. As we grow up & feelings of “I” emerge, we find it difficult even to listen to her. EGO has Edged Greatness Out
Seeing the trees here, we’re amazed at how they grow & serve from wherever Almighty planted them.. the riverside, or the bonsai bowl. Lots to learn from trees!
    Pranams Sathgurudeva!
YOU’re noble, powerful & formidable. It is humbling when YOU say “WE are instruments in the hands of God”
That keyboard submits totally to your command.. how blissful is the Nada which emerges! That bonsai plant submits to you.. how divine is the fruit that emerges!
How fulfilling it must be for the keyboard & the bonsai! We are following them
    Jaya Guru Datta. Your Puttuji

Jgd. The Fruit Appaji holding in His Hand Pomegranate contains beautiful red seeds that are Sweet to eat. They appear as small shiny rubies. These are protected by a thick layer of Skin. This is the type of Ego that covers the Educated and un-educated alike. As Appaji says in Avadhootha Geetha as we come to know more about Satkarma or the Good deeds the though small appears Very big.Such we will not be able to tolerate instead of restraint we cross the line and commit the unthinkable. This misfortune we guise under Ego.

That God has chosen to create each of us to use as His instruments in this wondrous ever new Creation of His, is such a sublime, profoundly rewarding thought. When, just as the synthesizer plays exactly the notes that Swamiji wishes to play to create the healing, soothing melodies, I pray that every one of us should submit with equal non-resistance to God’s or Guru’s will to perform and deliver exactly as He wishes and intends. Then the world will be reverberating with nothing but His melodies. If we are his transport, we will travel exactly to the destinations that He feeds into the GPS for us. If we are His machinery, we will produce products exactly to His specifications. If we are His communicators, we will spell out exactly the messages that He wishes us to convey to one another. I pray that ego is wiped out and God’s will flows through each of us with no filtering or alterations whatsoever by our own petty minds. So grateful for this eye-opener. Thank you Sadgurudeva Datta.

  2. Appaji plays “Rain Drops” tune. Appaji formed / composed this tune during the epic 7 month long Nada Prasara Tour in 1993. That historic tour firmly placed music on the pedestal of healing systems.

Instruments indeed, Appaji! With mercy on us, please put us to good use. With Your infinite compassion You have been constantly chipping away our ego and revealing to us the Infinite Brahman behind all this that is seen and done. Satha Koti pranams to Your Lotus Feet for keeping us with You and mentoring. Sri Guru Datta.

Jai Guru Datta! Wow! This is a very clear message. When we perceive each other as God’s instruments, there is no room anymore for critizising, disliking and all this mental stuff that separates us from God and ourselves. We can be happy and peaceful knowing that only His will is done. Jai Guru Datta!

Beautiful commentary by Puttuji! The synthesizer and the plants in the video submit humbly to Swamiji and become beautiful instruments of the divine. The synthesizer and the plants have no other desire than to be an instrument. MMS #22 said ego and desires go hand in hand. So, until we have desire, ego exists. Slowly giving up desires will help us see the truth that the divine hand runs this creation in perfect coordination. The ups and downs in life are caused purely by ego. When ego is purged, one merges with God said MMS #266. As we slowly overcome our ego, we’ll begin to see the divine hand more and more until we gain full awareness that we are instruments in the hands of the divine.
If I can be pure in my thoughts, word and deed, I can in all awareness, let the blessings of Swamiji flow through. Another MMS comes to mind: Surrender to Guru NOW! There may or may not be a tomorrow. Obeisances at the Holy Lotus Feet! Divine music from Swaravali Raga Sagara, track Bhanukanti.

  4. Jaya Guru Datta. Sometimes I get so confused by this world and think it may be just a silly soap opera. Yet I still get so emotional and take things so seriously. How pointless to blame someone if they are acting a part. Then how pointless is this world if it is just an act. I am very ignorant and confused. I know that Bliss that is the Self/Swamiji is real and I know that I love Mother Swamiji but everything else makes little sense. You say that intellect is Guru but I can’t seem to make much sense of this world. I pray for guidance. I love you Mother. Sri Guru Datta.

What a loving and a good lesson, Appaji has given today through the MMS 311. As humanbeing , we are only a just an instrument in the hands of God and we act only as per His command in our life. Therefore according to me, basically we have to realize that in this Kaliyuga , see our Appaji in the form of Lord Datta, Who is all in one and thereby we are all an instrument in His hand. When we are in His hands it is our duty to follow His command with out a second thought, MMS 248. In otherwords if we think for a minute our mind will be diverted due to ego or pride which really hide us by doing or acting for His command. That is real truth. Puttuji you have given a nice explanation about Arjuna with Krishna , about the Mother and child. All these will make us to think and which will help us to follow the words, teachings and listen to Music of our Sadgurudeva . Further in the photography in Mother’s creation in nature, the Trees and Plants are acting as per Her command which relate to MMS 164 and 195. Similarly here according to me Appaji is reminding us we should also cultivate noble thoughts in our mind and thereby come out from Ego and act as per His command since we are only an instrument in His hand. This is only going to be permanent in our life and that is the truth also. Further if we follow His MMS 300 and 310, we can realize these facts. Thank you Appaji to remind us the importance of follow a Sadguru , especially in this Kaliyuga and accordingly we act as per your instruction and command to develop our spiritual knowledge in our life which is only the real truth. JGD.

It is a wonderful feeling to know that we are Appaji’s instruments. But due to our ignorance we are playing this music called life in such discord. With Appajis blessings, innumerable teachings and divine music, we are learning to get back on track so that we are in complete harmony with Him. Appaji we will become perfect instruments one day, let us constantly be in Your seva always.

“Ego” will not let anything “easily” “go”. It give lot of pain and agony to ourselves and to others. May lord bless us all to understand and experience that we are all instruments in the hands of God.
