  1. Brilliant visuals & poetry!
A male deer takes pride in his horns. They express his uniqueness in creation, are his assets. Yet, they’re also his liability when they get entangled with the low branches & bushes in a jungle. His horns protect him, yet they also make him vulnerable. So, can he escape the jungle to the sea shore? No! So, he sings – “Oh my horns! I can’t trust you! (Nammaradu ammo ninnu) But, if I don’t trust you, I have no other protection (Nammakunte dikku ledu)!”
Like the deer’s horns, is our Self..
    Pranams Dattaswaroopa Sathgurudeva!
We will not get confused like that deer. For, we have Your grace dispelling our ignorance from within. But then, when You speak from within, we need to listen to & trust that little voice of our Self. For, that is the medium through which we experience your guidance. Give us the fortitude to keep our inner self so pure, that it reflects your grace without distortion.
    Jaya Guru Datta. Your Puttuji

Both the song and the message are absolutely beautiful and speak absolute truth. Besides my own experiences with Sri Swamiji Who seems to know my every thought and my every desire, I’ve read about the experiences of several devotees who have had surreal experiences with Swamiji. Swamiji manifests Himself as the inner self of everyone that begins to know Him. Swamiji once told a devotee that when someone finds that his chanting is going on automatically without conscious effort, it’s the Sathguru who’s carrying on the chanting for the devotee. Thank You, Swamiji, for stating in no uncertain words that faith in Your Lotus Feet is faith in our self. When we are not sure of ourselves, we just need to remember that You are there for us. The Datta Stava says over and over “Smrtrgami Sanovatu”. As Datta, You may appear the moment we think of You. But, as our Sathguru, You are always within us. So, faith in Guru is faith in ourselves. May Your Lotus Feet always be in our hearts!

According to me here first we should realise that basically , we need a Sadguru in our life for our growth in the spiritual path. In this Kaliyuga we are more affected by worldly pleasures and there by more chances to go in the wrong path. Here now when we follow our Sadguru——(1) He takes away things, you have and do not require.(2). He also destroys our maze.(3) He also open our mind and shows the way to serenity. (4) Through the spiritual path, He teach us to keep the mind clean. When our mind is clean we will not be misleaded by any unwanted desires in this present world. That is why to acquire good knowledge and to follow like this, we need our Sadguru in our life in Whom we should have the real faith also. Once we follow Sadguru we will not be confused like the Deer as you explained , Puttuji here. At the sametime in this present world,we will get always tension, stress, confusion and ultimately the mind will also get disturbed . To over come this, we have to also develop faith in our innerself so that our faith in our Sadguru will be more and more stronger and that is what we need in this Kaliyuga. Thank you Appaji for alerting us through Your various MMS and we follow You in all respect to develop our spiritual path. JGD.

jgd Satguru ji; since when i don’t know my self and mind became friends and started wandering after desires. i believe Amma felt pity on them and came as Sri Swami Ji. mind and self felt safe in the refuge of Satguru. Slowly through speeches, bhajans, Bhakti Mala and now through MMS Guru started His work and the self started understanding that mind is not always with it where as self is always present there in sleep awake or dream state also. Satguru’s help further taught self that you are nothing but my reflection, practice to keep your mind clean and calm you will realize The Truth . Guru’s preaching made my self clear that your faith in Guru is Your faith in Your Self, this fact is a sapling, will grow strong to strongest to experience, confirm and enjoy the bliss Satchtananda. Jaya Guru Datta. In man,s life the position assigned to the Guru is supreme. Siva”s fury can be quenched by the Guru, but Guru”s wrath cannot be abated even by Siva, so declares the Gurugita. None of us know completely about ourselves in our life time. The MMS says that our innerself is nothing but Sadguru Himself. Humble prostrations to Sriswamiji for the blessing given. We imprint in our hearts, the words of wisdom of You, the power of discrimination and the guidance given by the voice of consciousness. There is real happiness in singing, praising and discussing the glories of of Sriswamiji. JGD

Jaya Guru Datta! Ultimately, Sri Swamiji tries to teach us to find our own inner Guru. Those who would criticize devotees for following a Guru don’t understand this relationship and how it ultimately leads to this important lesson. We are the lucky ones! Sri Guru Datta!

Jgd.When Faith in the Guru is Faith in the self.A MMS which requires pondering for long time. When the self is understood, let me ponder.

Jaya Guru Datta! What a beautiful bhajan. I like it very much and just now, it cheered me up a lot. Sometimes, I only grasp on an intellectual level that ‘tat tvam asi’, but don’t even dare to see myself as part of the divine, unseparable. Then, I still feel small and separate from the divine. By Your saying, Appaji, You have reminded me of believing in myself and my divine nature (the divine spark in me). May we all experience this more and more. Sri Guru Datta!

    Jaya Guru Datta Puttuji _/\_!!
Beautiful Guru Day Gift !! “Nammaradu ammo ninnu Datta Datta ” keeps ringing in my
    ears !!
    Jai Guru Datta Appaji !!
Devotion is pure faith. Keep faith in yourself. Keep faith in Our God Sathguru. Faith is a powerful force that activates us.(MMS 81). Guru knows all. Trust his judgement.(MMS 182).. Sathguru resides both outside and inside. From the exterior He gives a push to the mind to turn it inwards. From the interior He pulls the mind towards the self and helps in the quieting the mind . The more we read and listen to the glory of our Pujya Sadgurudeva and practice Datta Kriya yoga, the more clearly we can hear His voice from within, recognize and trust the little voice of ourself.
I surrender at your sacred feet in total devotion and total faith !!

Jai Guru Datta, guru ke saman nahin, koin doosra Jahan mein ( there is none like your guru in this whole wide word). Gurugita explains beautifully the importance of guru in a person’s life. We are blessed to have Sadguru in our life. We are so fortunate that our Swami Ji has taken us under his protection and is making use of latest technology to teach us, guide us, uplift us. Faith in such Datta guru is the most precious thing. Humble Pranam Sadguru Deva

    Jaya Guru Datta,
I am deeply touched by the story of the deer and its horn. Please Lord, I take refuge in You – let me always know how to use You – like a compass. May I not only clean my house, may I also clean my inner Self.
    Pranams to my beloved Sadguru.

Faith in God who is omnipresent, resides everywhere and within us, is omnipotent, will improve faith and confidence within us. May lord bless us all with faith in HIM.

    JGD Appaji
Do we have complete faith in Sadguru? Then why do we still do things that displease Him with or without our knowledge.. why do we let our inner enemies, our ego , our mind rule us..He is so immensely patient and compassionate, He knows one day we will let go of everything and experience Him truly. We know He will never leave us and we will never let go of Him. Hope we let go of this worldly illusion soon Appaji!
