JGD Appaji, yes I can correlate it to the Hawthorne effect .Which basically means that if one is being observed the behavior or response of the one being observed changes. It seems possible that when the mind is being watched every single moment, its monkey mindedness may slowly wane away. This is what is being taught in Datta Kriya Yoga as “Mano veekshana” i.e observing ones mind or thoughts. Thank you Appaji for introducing these highly spiritual concepts and integrating them into our daily life activities as Datta Kriya Yoga.

    Jaya Guru Datta.
Thank you for the beautiful message, Puttuji. Swamiji says that the mind should be controlled like a machine. Watching the movement of the mind would mean that we are not the mind. We are watching the mind as if it is another entity. When we disassociate from the mind, we control the mind. Otherwise, more often than not, the mind controls us.
Pranams at the Holy Lotus Feet.
