July : Life is not permanent: Time gives a comforting illusion of permanence not found in running by the mile.. Hence we humans tend to take it for granted that our existence is forever not realising that we are transient creatures..  Sadguru has made us realise that we have very little time left and a lot to achieve. While sitting inside a moving car, it appears as if we are stationary and the surroundings are moving .. Whereas it is the other way round.. In the same way, during our short period of stay on this earth which is also a part of our travel towards god, we feel as if it is our permanent destination , forgetting the fact that the geological clock is ticking away… But our Sadguru rupi Sri Krishna is an epitome of compassion as Sadguru reveals the truth to us whenever we forget about it..  The essence of the Bhagvadgita explained to Arjuna by Sri Krishna in dwaapara yuga has been retained and delivered to us in a concise and melodious format by our beloved sadguru ..The Gita Saara ..  It is as if Sri Krishna is revealing the ultimate truth to us through this MMS… Jgd

Jaya Guru Datta Sri Appaji. You have offered prayers to the Sun God on all our behalf and also gave us the importance of listening to Geeeta Saara. Very very melodious that runs us delightful all day. What a love you have for us. Sri Guru Datta Appaji.

  4. This message is so true! Even though we know that we all die oneday, we forget that fact and entangle ourselves in worldly distractions and worries. Thank you Puttuji for reminding us of this ‘fact’ and giving us something to contemplate on!

It is very important for us to remember this quote at every moment, in every decision we make and use our life wisely. We all know that life is not permanent but yet behave like we will be in this world forever. The countdown literally starts the day we are born. If we waste time doing useless activities and indulge in materialistic enjoyment, by the time we realize that a course correction may not be possible. Sri Swamiji always says that don not wait until old age to read the scriptures and to learn about God. We must all start our practice early in life. Spend at least half hour each day contemplating the teachings of God and involving in noble activities.
Only God is permanent. Rest all changes. With Saduru’s grace everyone should strive to reach God.
Thank you Appaji for this thought provoking MMS.

Absolute Truth and powerful message to contemplate upon! Though we know life is not permanent, we live as if we are immortal.
We should take this advice from our gurudeva to our hearts, and remember and pray to Him at each moment of our lives as if It can be our last. Thank you Appaji for the great messages!

    • Madhuri on July 17, 2012 at 3:31 am

We all love this mortal body knowing the fact that we have an end. It is you Sachchidananda, who are showing me how to take away the “Moham” / craving for life. JGD Appaji

Thank you Appaji for reminding us. Although life is not permanent, our deeds should be. Help us Appaji, to perform good deeds which will be remembered forever.

Swamiji, these messages are truly beautiful and appreciated. Many little synchronicities happen with them—two second miracles….the day you posted this, I was thinking about how all of the things I love are impermanent–the forests, nature, my apartment, my friends….things change, but always God is constant inside of us….then your message came…I love when that happens….it helps me know you are there!

    • sarath chandra on July 17, 2012 at 9:23 pm

Beautiful video and I felt that Pujya Appaji is reminding the humanity that useful things need to be done in the life span we got

    • on July 17, 2012 at 11:51 pm

    Jaya Guru Datta

We always try to live in a world of illusion, moving away from reality. In this video pujya guru deva is showing flower petals falling and then disappearing finally. Pujya Guru Deva is making us realize that, this is not our permanent home. Thank you Appaji for teaching us the hard to understand concepts in easy, musical message form.

    Sri Guru Datta

    • Sara on July 18, 2012 at 12:52 am

Jai Guru Datta. The song in this video reminds me when Sri Swamiji came to Trinidad in July 2006 and Dr. P.V Nath spoke on Sri Swamiji’s composition Gita Gnaana. In that visit, we learnt the 18 verses which are the essence of the Gita. Thank you Appaji.

  5. A dream is fleeting. So is life. This powerful message will help me to maintain that awareness in my mind always. The way Sri Sri Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, our Sadgurudeva is conveying the true but unpleasant and frightening fact to us in this short multi-media video is simply amazing. Who else could have accomplished this so vividly! Jaya Guru Datta

  6. Jaya Guru Datta!
    Jai Guru Datta!
    Dearest Puttuji,
This video message scared me a little and reminded me of my younger brother-in-law Holger who died on 21st March 2011. He was only 47 years old. Thank YOU for reminding me for both: Holger and my short lifespan. I hope Holger is well now and in YOUR Divine Hands. My short lifespan?, i hope i can still be of some help to YOU and i try my best to be one of YOUR INSRUMENTS. I very much like this video because it is a permanent reminder. And it is quite soothing to hear Swamiji-Datta’s Divine Voice in the bhajan also. Thank YOU for this great message and i love YOU very much.
    YOUR Sumati.
    Om Namo Hanumate Namaha!
    Śrī Guru Datta!

Jaya guru datta.. Thanks to Pujya Appaji and dear Puttuji for coming up with this video.
From the video, Snow and the flower, which are temporary and the Sun is permanent. The flower that blossoms everyday has to fade away as Sun Sets. The white milky snow has to melt away. The transient nature and non-permanence nature of the truth, which we are all aware but yet illusion. The Sadguru (the only omni-present and the SUN) Swamiji is the true savior and a teacher that helps us to identify. The “geeta saara ..” is another testimony of the ever graciousness of Parama Pujya Appaji to decipher the teachings of Bhagavadgita for a naive persons like me to even try to understand,, appreciate and sing along. Prostrations and sincere thanks to Pujya Swamiji…Thank you. Life may be transient.. Your teachings and the transformations you bring about silently in people’s behavior are permanent..

Jaya Guru Datta, Puttuji, Your messege do help us to ground ourselves. Though we know this life is but a dream. But many a times, we forget, get drawn in to it, like the insects that get attacted to the flame and burn themselves. These messages are like the brakes and barrier, to make me stop and think. I am here to refine myself and see the refuge in Datta’s feet. Nothing else is important. Keep focussed. I try, fall, get and try again. Thank you for this life line. with humble pranams. Lalitha

    • Savitri on July 19, 2012 at 3:36 am

I understand it like this, that this little life is not permanent, but the big one of me, the soul, is permanent. It is also life, but another life. This little Life is permanent, that’s why I must live every moment like this, that it could be the last moment. I must live good!

Jgd Sri Appaji thank you for alertness and help us focus our day to day time on earth. Panamas to our sadaguru deva’s lotus feet. Sgd.

    • Niran on July 19, 2012 at 1:43 pm

Whilst we being very aware that Life is only temporary, yet we behave as though it is permanent. At least we know that our satguru will always be connected with our Soul. Lets embrace the permanent and discard the impermanent. JGD

    • on July 19, 2012 at 3:05 pm

JGD! Let us not waste this life. Let us overcome the illusion of attachment to this body, life and ego. Let us use the guidance of Sadgurudeva. Let us follow dharma. Let us do seva. Let us be grateful for everything and every second. Let us be happy (like one automatically feels like when hearing this bhajan). SGD! Om namo hanumate namah!

The Body in the mirror is showing it,
The retrospect life store is telling it,
    Sri Swamiji is singing it,
while it is running out, like sand in between my fingers.
    Thank You Swamiji,
for reminding me of the value of NOW

    • on July 20, 2012 at 8:21 pm

Jaya Guru Hanuman, Thank you Swamiji for showing us the way through this message……We have to remember this constantly…..Life is not permanent; we came to this world alone and we go alone; No one belongs to us, only God and Guru belong to us in this life and in all lifes…Om namo hanumate namaha

    • Radha from Switzerland on July 21, 2012 at 11:53 am

    JAYA GURU DATTA !
“Every day is a good day” – say the buddhists. I hope if we try to realise this and try to do our best here and now and day by day, the day of death is a good day too.
    OM NAMAHA SHIVAYA!

    • datts on July 22, 2012 at 3:45 pm

So true, our Sadguru never forgets us! It is we who forget Him. No amount of words and thanks can thank our Sadguru for the time he expends on us in this life. The time he takes to sing, record compositions for us, do messages for us, travel for us, endure all the pains and sufferings for our sake only! One simple way to make our Sadguru happy and to improve our lives is to try to follow His teachings. JGD

    Jaya Guru Datta:

I still cann’t forget Swamiji’s last day speech in Dallas in 2011. Life is not permanent and become address-less after a predefined time. Thanks for this enlightenment

    • pushpa on July 24, 2012 at 3:35 am

Yes , Appaji Deva, Appaji always tells us “don’nt wast your time, time is precious” , thank you for reminding and for all your love and patience, with my humble prostrations .

    • Y.S.Swarnaprabha on July 24, 2012 at 7:05 am

“Gita Saarah Shrunatu Sada” song teaches, we must listen & follow to the teachings of Our Sadguru as He Himself is the Lord Krishna, the sacred Gita, the Absolute.
Nothing is permanent, but, Our sadguru is,
for He is Sat – Chit – Aananda, i.e. Truth – Knowledge – Bliss.

    JGD.

    Danke mein SADGURU.

    • Joseph on February 26, 2013 at 8:24 am

Life is not permanent as body is perishable. All of us know this fact, but the subconscious presumption that ‘I’m eternal’ is the root cause for all problems and racing in life, but that don’t mean we shouldn’t live our life or stop enjoying our life, but we should remember the truth that life is not permanent. May lord bless us all to remember the truth that life is not permanent and act accordingly to reach God.
