  1. Cool visuals. Enchanting flute. Soulful voice of Swami Manasa Datta invoking Madhusudhana. Makes you replay. Sets the Diwali mood.

In the company of Krishna the entire environment is drenched in blue. He’s called Neelameghashyama – One who is of the color of the bluish clouds.

In the company of the moon, the waters look so cool. Even the drops of water shine like the moon. Butterflies that mingle with the flowers are as colourful as they are.

Gokulam was full of happy people.. Krishna’s happiness was so contagious. The Pandavas lived the higher life because they chose to keep company with Krishna.

Pranams Sathguru ! Life is short. We’ve a long way to go in reaching the destination you’ve set for us. Please be in our hearts guiding us from within. We’ll seek & keep company of Datta Families (satsanga), so that we don’t get distracted from our chosen path of dedicated service to your mission. That is our life’s purpose. Jaya Guru Datta, Your Puttuji.

Jaya Guru Datta, Swamiji! As I read this message, I thought of all the young people who drink and use drugs because of peer pressure and because they can’t find alternatives. There are so many out there longing for a better way of life, for better company, for new friends who don’t rely on substances or who are interested in more spiritual or natural ways of life. Help those who want a better life to find the right satsang group. Help those of us with satsang groups and those who are longing to create one strengthen and form our circles and draw to them those who are most in need of your love and support. Sri Guru Datta!

It has been proven that in behavior and in features and gestures, one becomes like the person whose company one keeps. In verbal expressions one is easily influenced by the company one keeps. Why do parents worry so much about the friendships that their children make? Friends exert a great influence on minds, especially the young. Even older persons are easily swayed. Otherwise con artists would not be making a living. If television is our companion, we become slaves to its instructions. It is ironic that the really good companion who can lift us out of this bog called worldly life with its lopsided values, is our Sadguru, but his influence we find difficult to absorb. He tries so hard to win us over. We chant, “Jai Guru Datta” but are we really giving him a quick victory in his attempts at transforming us into nobler souls? Are we heeding his words and his example? The bad things in life we learn very quickly. But the good, we take our sweet time to put into practice. Jaya Guru Datta

Appaji has always emphasized on the importance of satsang. His Facebooking, Vimeo-ing, Youtube-ing have helped us in so many different ways. Personally, I have cleaned up my friends lists after being in Puttuji’s fold. He is constantly following and tracking so many children and youth who are vulnerable to all kinds of abuse. This Navarathri’s gift to all women, “Jayalakshmi Mata” page and friendship on FB has been yet another of His step towards guiding the female species. He has insisted that every woman irrespective of age become friends with Amma and also emphasized that all of us whould fearlessly open up to Amma. She will guide us. Appaji has used technology so well that there are less chances of straying. Yet, we should all resolve to hold on to absolute truth and give up on frivolous and worthless things. Millions of reverential pranams and heartfelt thanks to Appaji for always guiding us to remain steadfast and follow Dharmic principles. Jaya Guru Datta.

Jaya Guru Datta Appaji, It is easier to overlook the fact that we may not be behaving in a manner that is conducive to Dharma when we associate with others not associated with Guru. This devotee has found it better to be less social. The only referral point is my Datta Sadguru with whom I don’t question as the proper moral fixture. It is easier and more fruitful to let others be and know that no one else exists. I pray to develop the Dharmic qualities you espouse. Sri Guru Datta

JGD.APPAJI often quotes this MMS.In other form Appaji recounts about the “BHRAMARA KEETAKA NYAYAMU”.Where with connstant company the worm that was brought as food transforms into the Fly or Bhramara. When we are in the company of Great Avathara or Sage this tranformation should come over automatically. If it does not Happaen, we must Re read our selves.
Some time ago Appaji was telling about the devotee, and GURU meeting. The Darshan of A GREAT GURU Happens due to the accumulated Good Karma over many births. This is the Bank Deposit in our account.A devotee should use the interest of the Principle. This happens by Devoted Guru Seva only. The Seva earns the interest.

Great MMS video message. It is very important to have company of good people. Sri Swamiji always tells to do sansangha… being in the company of good people is itself a satsangha. This message is very import for teenagers which is the turning point of their life. Jaya Guru Datta! Dear Appaji, being in Your company, whether close physically or in our hearts, is the best company we can ask for. By this, we get transformed. This in turn, also transforms the people who are around us, so they benefit, too. It continues like a domino effect… But please, give support to the lost ones who at this moment, are not as fortunate as we are. Please help the lost and needy in a way they learn quickly to make a good choice. Sri Guru Datta!

What a beautiful MMS, Appaji has given today. The musicis also very apt to this MSG. In this Kaliyuga  it is very diffcult to identify who is good or who is bad due to have a company with them through various reasons. In such circumstances when we follow a Sadguru who will guide us in the right path and brings out from darkness to lightthrough His spiritual path      On this basis Puttuji you have given some examples also especially about Lord Krishna who was in Dwapara yuga and people were very happy in the company of Him. Similarly we are also so fortunate to get our Sadguru in this Kaiyuga  Who is the incarnation of Lord Datta Himself and those who follow Him are in Datta family and cultivate a good company and Sathsang . It is our duty to give more publicity about Swamiji’s Mission and develop good company for the welfare of the society. Further when we follow our Sadguru it will help our children also to put in the right path and ultimately get a good peace of mind and happinessin the life.   JGD.

    • Archana Penukonda on October 29, 2012 at 3:28 am

Jaya Guru Datta! We are what our mind tells us to be. The mind processes the inputs it is given. So, by feeding the right inputs like spiritual knowledge, company of pious souls, Sri Swamiji’s music etc, our mind becomes cleaner and we become better people. I’ve seen myself become a better person over the years due to my association with Datta family. The path to liberation starts with good company, satsanga, because our mind will process the good ideas and thoughts from the good company. Adi Shankaracharya says in his hymn “Bhaja Govindam”: Satsangatve nissangatvam, nissangatve nischala tattvam, nischala tattve nirmohatvam, nirmohatve jeevan muktihi. This means that the company of pious people reduces our desire for worldly attachments; from this springs a calm and steady mind; from such a steady state of mind comes detachment which finally gives us liberation. May we always keep the company of our Sathguru in our heart and mind. May be always keep moving closer to Him. Obeisance to the Holy Lotus Feet!

A Wonderful video.. I liked the way the video starts with showing of ‘Bala Krishna’ during his childhood days with a background kirtan of “Madhava..” and ending with all diamonds… A message so beautifully conveyed thru’ visuals. It has been proven time and again that we are judged by the company we keep and we tend to behave like others. May we be sorrounded by the Sattvic tendencies and the Sattvic people right from the childhood and thread the path of Bhakti and become those diamonds..

Humble pranams to His Holiness Parama Pujya Appaji, the Lord Vishnu/Krishna Himself who has been leading us…

    • Joseph on October 29, 2012 at 9:41 am

Like all of us are aware of the proverb, “tell me who you go with and I’ll tell you who you are”. Similarly association with people around imprints as thoughts in our mind because mind moulds and presents itself in the form and shape of those thoughts that crosses the mind more frequently. Association with people following righteous path makes us too to follow the same path. Even in worse circumstances, these thoughts protects us from bad thoughts and deeds. So companionship plays an important role in what and how we perceive and react to the circumstance. May Lord bless us all to have good company not only for worldly enjoyment but also to follow the righteous path.

JGD. Wonderful depiction of the video and the synch with music. Lord Krishna is so adorable at the same time warning everyone with the meaning of this MMS. There was an old adage, that says – ‘tell me who your friends are and i will tell you what kind of a person you are’. saangatya is all about making the personality. Sri Adi Shankara also stated same thing about how to become nissanga and how to attain salvation – jeevanmukti – Thanks a lot Appaji for getting us to know and direct our lives.

You will become like the person whose company you keep ~ 28 Oct 2012

The simple but true fact of life is that we become like those whom we closely associate with, for good or bad. In today`s world they say that a person can be known by the company he keeps. The human mind is a very powerful receptive instrument. If you place it in evil company, it will acquire evil tendencies. If you place it in holy company, it will acquire divine traits.

Pujya Appaji has time and again stressed about the importance and the need of “Satsang”. The very company of Guru and saints has a tremendous transforming effect on the lives of true seekers. It lifts them up to the heights of sublimity, purity and spirituality. By association with saints even for a short time, the aspirants acquire strong faith in the Lord. In the divine company of Guru, the mind becomes pure. It is a blessing even to be in good company.

We are all so blessed to be in the company of pujya Appaji. Let us learn from HIM and set an example to others around us. I pray and beg Pujya Appaji to keep us in HIS association always. Sri Guru Datta!!

You will become like the person whose company you keep ~ 28 Oct 2012

“Tell me who your friend is, I will tell you who you are”. This is a common quote we might have come across many times. We tend to imbibe the qualities and nature of the person whose company we keep. It is therefore very important to choose the right company. Sri Shankaracharya says in Bhaja Govindam, ” From Satsangh comes non-attachment, from non-attachment comes freedom from delusion, which leads to self-settledness. From self-settledness comes Jeevan Mukti.” This is importance of company we keep. We have all been blessed with the company of Sadguru. Lets us use this association rightly for reaching our Madhava!
The visuals are very beautiful and make the video very captivating! The soulful singing of Swami Manasa adds meaning to the MMS. Jaya Guu Datta!

    • Praveen Nidumolu on October 31, 2012 at 12:28 am

Jai Guru Datta Appaji – Our glorious scriptures have exhorted time and again to be around Good company. This MMS with stunning visuals shows BalaKrishna eating butter – which is symbolic of the Lord assimilating the pure-hearted souls into Himself. This is a strong reminder to only look into the pure hearts of everyone around us and not look at the bad – thereby reflecting and radiating only the purity always!
Pujya Gurudeva has always lived an exemplary life and is the Perfect Guru – we all love to follow. Despite being Lord Datta Himself, He has unflinchingly followed the 12 Sutras laid down by His GuruMata all His life. If we follow His words of wisdom (daily MMS) consistently, we will only reflect and radiate His wisdom and Love, like the ‘Pure Diamonds’ depicted in the MSS. Praying to be such instruments forever!
AdiSankara also reminded us that Satsangha was the first step to attain JeevanMukthi (Liberation). Swami Manasa Datta’s soulful rendering of Madhava Madhusudhana is so soothing and cleansing. Sri Guru Datta!
