Chennai witnessed yet another magnificent concert of Pujya Sri Swamiji. The “Nada Yoga Raga Sagara” – music for meditation and healing at the sprawling grounds of “Sri Rama Chandra Medical Collage” on 27th February 2010 at 7 PM was remarkably different when compared to the previous concerts. But it goes to the singular credit of Chennai to have achieved several unique brownie points earlier.

The first ever Music for Meditation in India was held in Chennai on 27th October 1990. It was in the “Music Academy” – the veteran and one of the most respected concert venues in south India. Musical giants like – Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, Maharajapuram Santanam, K.V. Narayanaswamy, N. Ramani, Lalgudi Jayaraman, Trichur Ramachandran etc. were seated in the audience. The later concert in Kamaraj Memorial auditorium had a galaxy of maestros on the stage with Sri Swamiji. Lalgudi Jayaraman on violin, AKC Natarajan on Clarinet, N. Ramani on flute, Umayalpuram Sivaraman on Mridangam, Vinayakaram on Ghatam. The present concert was of great preparation and massive participation.

Sri. Krishnamurthy and Sri. Tayal inaugurated the concert by lighting the lamp. Sri. Ranga Babu, Sri. Jayaraman, Sri. Vijayasarathy and other trustees of Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama, Chennai offered garlands and Vastram to Pujya Sri Swamiji and Pujya Bala Swamiji.

Pujya Swamiji played Pranava Svarupam in Rushyaketupriya Raga, Bhajan Vilasatu Deepti in Brindavana Saranga Raga, Bhajan Varugave Varugave – Tamil Bhajan in Malaya Maruta Raga, Andolaye Rajeshvarim in Hindola Raga, Pavana Pavani Palayam in Gamanashrama Raga, Happy tune in Shankarabharana Raga and Mangala in Sama Raga. The concert was telecast live on Sanskar TV channel across India and web cast live on

During Thani avaratanam, Sri Swamiji walked around the audience with a crystal wand in hand. After the concert, Sri Swamiji spoke and expressed His happiness – that music was shared and beneficial to all. Sri Swamiji also expressed happiness over the wonderful arrangements.
